An opinion is the way you feel or think about something. Our

opinion about something or someone is based on our perspective. Whenever we give

or express our opinion it is important to give reasoning or an example to support our

opinion.

To disagree with an opinion,

we should pay attention to the following aspects:

Don’t make it personal.

You may not attack the person with impolite expressions. This is considered

very rude.

e.g.:

• You are an idiot.

• You are fool.

Avoid putting down

the other person’s idea and beliefs.

You may have disagreement with the idea or different points of view, but you

have to avoid sarcastic statements.

e.g.:

• That’s stupid idea.

• What a ridiculous idea.

• My idea is better than yours.

Gently disagree with the idea using acceptable

and very polite expressions.

e.g.:

• I am afraid I can’t agree with that opinion.

• I think I am not the same opinion as you.

• I personally partly agree with the idea.

• I don’t completely agree with the idea.
