People worked more and spent less time with their families.

Cities grew and many became overpopulated.

The ice bucket challenge has raised over 94 million dollars.

It has also raised awareness for diseases like ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)

As cities became overcrowded and life became more stressful problems arose.

Alcoholism, domestic violence, suicide all increased during this period.

Sociology was created to study these problems and hopefully find solutions.

Since sociologists interact with and study people they must be very careful when conducting experiments.
