Viewing Student Desktops The icons for the student desktops display at bottom of Instructor Desktop. Click icon for the student desktop you want to view. You cannot view the Remote Desktop(RDP) for the student desktop or you will knock the student off the connection.
– RDP allows only one connection at a time.

System Requirements Most of the common Operating System and web browser combinations are compatible with Avaya’s TECNet SSL portal access.
– Refer to Appendix C for a list of supported Browser and Operating System combinations.

Network Requirements Please ensure any client firewalls and any security applications you are
running are able to accept such connections. – Netdirect connections make use of UDP 5000-5001 or fallback 443
– Access to the SSL portals require support for local loopback 127.0.0.1 to 127.0.0.20 to forward packets to support access to some of the labs.
You may need to consult your software manual or with your IT team on instructions on how to do this.
Recommend taking the training on a direct internet connection and not via a VPN connection

Network Requirements – For Avaya Employees Only For Avaya Employees on the corporate network either: Disable your browsers web proxy and automatic configuration script for the
duration of the session
OR Use an alternate browser with no proxy enabled. (This does affect the java
precheck test)

Click the “Click Here to launch a netdirect VPN tunnel direct to the training labs” icon this will attempt to launch a VPN connection in to the training lab.
Firewall note – Netdirect tries UDP 5000-5001 and if that fails will try port 443 to establish a connection.

Precheck – Warning Warning: If Net Direct is disconnected in an improper way, restoration of DNS will
fail and you may hang your session open. Improper ways of disconnecting the Net Direct that a user should avoid are: – Closing the portal browser when Net Direct is On.
– Clicking the Close (X) button in the title bar of the applet when Net Direct is On.

network or on your client that may need further investigation. If your system complies with the above requirements, you may need to contact
your IT organization to check your specific firewall and antivirus settings. If you are still having problems please notify your instructor or representative,
