Questions From Yesterday

How should Coordinators with multiple sites divide their time on the first day of school? Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a straight answer here, we trust and expect that you will be able to use your professionalism judgment to know where you will be best utilized. We encourage you to talk through this with your AD or your “Thought Partner” to gather more input. Is there a PD calendar in place? How will PD look? Are you all giving us topics/modules to roll out?We are working on our PD calendar currently. We have some thoughts around this and would love to discuss with everyone whose interested in contributing to the conversation during lunchtime today. Please remember we are all sort of 1st year teachers again in our various positions and we have to help each other stay afloat using our strengths to support one another in the tough times. We have thoughts around PD as a whole group, PD for Middle School and Elem/K8, Thought Partner work, PLC groups. When will we see the fellows schedule for orientation... and will they have time to go to the school's beginning of the year activities that start the same time.I need further clarification on this question

What is the difference between DSSN schools and the rest of us.The DSSN is in it’s 3rd year (of a 3 year agreement) with Blueprint where each of the schools implements all 5 Tenants that Tim talked about this morning (i.e Extended School Year/Time, Data Use, No Excuses High Expectations Culture, Tutoring For All Students at Critical Grade Levels, High Quality Teachers and Admin). Denver Public Schools (entire district) is entering a Working Agreement with Blueprint for just the Math Fellows component for the next 3 years.
