Jeff Lau is an excellent student at Lincoln High School. The only blemish, is that he received a “D” in his Chinese. Although “D” is a passing grade, it will greatly lower his Grade Point Average (GPA). To ambitious Jeff who wishes to advance into an elite college, this blow in grade might be devastating.

Fortunately, Jeff is also taking Chinese at Huada Chinese Academy. He got an excellent “A” from Huada. His teacher told him that he could use his “A” at Huada to replace his “D” at his high school. Then, his GPA will not be lowered.

每年，打听华大中文学校何时开始招生，已经成了三藩市家长们的一件必做的事情，

San Francisco Bay Area’s best private Chinese school – Huada Chinese Academy’s new student enrollment fair will start again in this month. Every year, one of the few live events that concerned parents will always participate is to find out when Huada Chinese Academy starts to register new students for the coming school year, because it has a lot to do with whether they can enroll their children to the Bay Area’s best (NOT ONE of the best) Chinese school, and it also has to do with whether they can catch a front position in a long line for
registration.

为大家提供全美国独一无二的中文课程。华大的中文课程，会满足加州“双语金印”

With 13 years of history, Huada Chinese Academy continues to offer its one of a kind Chinese language classes at San Francisco’s star high school – Lowell High School on Sundays next school year. Huada’s Chinese courses meet California’s Seal of Biliteracy course requirements to enable high school graduates to be more competitive in applying to colleges and seeking jobs. Huada Chinese Academy has traditional Chinese courses from pre-‐school to high school; has bilingual courses for non-‐Chinese families or adoption families; has Synchronous and follow-‐up Chinese program for the Bay Area’s Chinese immersion school/program students. Huada has high school world language credit courses recognized by the San Francisco Unified School District and many independent/private high schools, and Advanced Placement Chinese Language and Culture course. Besides, Huada also offers Chinese class that aimed at helping interested students to pass Lincoln High school’s SDLP Mandarin immersion entrance exam. Huada Chinese Academy also cooperates with famous colleges in China to offer “Releasing dream” Chinese summer camp. Students learn authentic Chinese Pinyin, simplified characters in China. These diverse Chinese courses allow different background, different first language, different level and different needs students to obtain all-‐inclusive Chinese education: whether you’d like your child to start learning Mandarin Chinese through games and nursery rhymes, or you’d like your child to earn high school credits, or replace a below average Chinese world language class grade…these unique course offerings can only be found at Huada Chinese Academy, and no other Chinese language schools in the US are able to offer the same diverse courses like Huada.

华大 2016-‐2017学年招生工作指引
• 新旧生_Lowell 校舍的学生从 3月 20日起接受报名。 旧生要注意学校通知里的
注册日期，请按照规定的日期到办公室为您的孩子办理注册手续。
• 旧生与新生在报名上的区别还包括: (1) 旧生报名免收报名费 (2) 旧生有更大的
自由度可以挑选合适自己时间的课程。
• 收费须知: 华大一年上课时间为 10 个月共 33 个周。学校每年的三、四月为旧
生的收费优惠月。请家长们尽量在优惠期里报名以享受华大给予的 10%折扣优
惠， 每家庭第二个学生报读同科可另获 5 %学费折扣。旧生优惠期在四月底结
束， 新生则在五月底结束。
• 学校仍然维持低收费不变，新生与旧生不同的是， 优惠只获 5%.的折扣。 本学
年里学费因应学校的运作也有小小调整，希望家长能理解。
• 2015我们发出的学费奖励劵可以用于减低本学年的学费。
• 后，凡是替子女在华大已经注册的家长，另又介绍朋友的子女入读， 应获华
大给予的 $25 元奖励.(一个家庭计算)。
Huada 2016-‐2017 School Year Enrollment Guidelines
• Enrollment for new and existing students at the Lowell campus begins on March 20th. Existing students need to pay attention to the school’s notice, which contains assigned enrollment dates. Please come to the office to enroll your children on your assigned enrollment date.
• The differences in enrollment between new and existing students include: (1) registration fee is waived for existing students (2) existing students have more choices in choosing classes with suitable times.
• Fees: there are 33 sessions that span 10 months during Huada’s school year. The
discount period for existing student enrollment is during March and April of every year. We encourage parents to seize the opportunity for a 10% discount in tuition by enrolling during this period. The second child in every family can enjoy an
additional 5% discount in tuition. The discount period for existing students ends after April, and discounts for new students end after May.
• The difference between new and existing students is that new students receive a 5% discount for enrolling during the discount period. Tuition is subject to change depending on our costs. For this school year, we have a small amount adjust for operation fee. Thank you for your understanding.
• In 2015, we distributed tuition coupons as rewards that can be used towards this
year’s tuition.
• Lastly, for parents who enroll their children in the current school year, and refer other families to enroll, they will receive a $25 tuition rebate (per family referred).
