Job Responsibilities:~~Position Duties:• Provide oversight for implementation of Sewer Rehabilitation Projects• Submit the work order details, or package, for SPU Field Operations crews and contractor work• Serve as lead in resolving sewer buildover and abandonment issues• Serve as technical resource for Field Operations, Project Delivery Branch, other City agencies, developers, and rate payers who encounter unusual/non-standard situations in the course of their work• Determine the project impact to the wastewater system• Implement action items identified in the Consent Decree• Coordinate project work; develop and manage job plans; review and coordinate optimal changes to preventive maintenance schedule

Experience: Four (4) years of civil engineering office or field experience

Education: Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or two years of college level coursework in engineering and construction technology OR one (1) additional year of qualifying experience.

License: Valid driver's license

The Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), Regulatory Compliance and Consumer Protection Division (RCCP) is seeking a qualified Strategic Regulatory Coordinator to further the City’s priorities related to collaborative inter-departmental citywide emphasis efforts. This position scopes and facilitates a complex, multi-department/agency, program that assists in the coordination of the City’s priorities, recommends resource allocations necessary for effective day and night directed joint emphasis efforts and monitors the associated performance measures and budget for this work. In addition, the coordinator closely aligns with other regulatory compliance efforts within Title 5 and Title 6 of the Seattle Municipal Code and specifically as related to marijuana and alcohol regulations within the City of Seattle.

This position works closely with the Director of Regulatory Compliance and has matrix leadership responsibility across many City departments to include FAS, DPD, SDOT, SPD, SFD, CAO, OPI, the King County Health Department, the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) and many other business or community based organizations.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyzes and prioritizes operational objectives. Coordinates and oversees consistent collaborative governance approach. Helps create, maintain and co-lead teams from various City departments. Works closely with joint emphasis team members on priorities that require multi-departmental focus dealing with a

variety of codes that aim to gain voluntary compliance throughout the City of Seattle. Interacts and reports to executives, legislative leaders and staff through various methods to include quarterly

reporting on performance measures and tracking of placed based complaints, incidents and resolutions. The coordinator will be expected to coordinate with outside agencies, consultants, contractors and the public to plan, coordinate and provide periodic progress reports regarding this high-profile work.

Responsible for carrying out and working independently as a senior project manager, and is responsible for the development of measurements, measuring key results, scopes of work, cost estimates and budgets, detailed work plans, some contracting, scheduling, tracking and reporting to achieve full project delivery.

Supports the preparation of a long term strategic improvement plan that will be required by department heads, Mayor’s Office, senior staff, the City Council and the public.

This position will work closely with the management, supervisory leads and the License and Standards Inspectors that makeup the RCCP team of joint emphasis members.
