ATTENTION: The concept of sustainable stand con-struction is only possible if ALL exhibitors of the Reseller Park and the SmartHome - Center of Smart-Building (that is the whole of Hall 11.1) accept sustain-able stand construction. This should not pose a prob-lem for our exhibitors as the entire hall will be designed in a pleasant and natural style – and, furthermore, von Hagen Design also enables and permits individuali-sation scope for larger stands. As this hall will be pre-sented in the media as the “sustainability hall”, you can expect considerable added value in terms of the positive image which will be generated for your company, also duetoamoresignificantvolumeofvisitors.Itisforesee-able that – due to global warming – all trade fairs around the world will focus on sustainability sooner or later.

SUSTAINABLE EXHIBITION STANDS

Dear IFA exhibitors,

2019will godown inhistoryas theyear inwhich theentire world became aware that climate change is veri-fiablytakingplaceandtheEarth’satmosphere iswar-ming to a dangerous level. For some time scientists from around the world have been calling on decision-makers from the spheres of economics and politics – as well as all humans in general – to implement measures to stop climate change. All of us must do our utmost to counter the effects - and the sooner we become active, the grea-ter the impact will be.

Sustainable business practices and actions wherever possible – and maintaining a constant awareness of this – represent important steps towards a green future and protecting the world climate. Sustainable, climate- friendly, green products are required – as well as cli-mate-neutral events – which, of course, includes exhi-bitions.

This has all been possible for some time; trade associa-tions (such as FAMAB.de in Germany), companies and scientists have developed proposals for climate-neutral events and sustainable stand construction. In order to keep the additional costs associated with climate-neutral stand construction to a minimum for our exhibitors of Reseller Park and the SmartHome - Center of Smart- Building, Global Fairs TT-Messe – together with the well-established stand construction company von Hagen Design – has developed a con-cept which meets these aims. We are delighted that - from2020onwards–wewillbeabletoofferyousus-tainable and climate-neutral stand construction – and this is something you can advertise to your customers, not as ‘green washing’ but instead in terms of genu-ine, sustainable stand construction. We also intend to make our catering and, by degrees, all other activities in connection with trade fair participation, as sustainable and climate-friendly as possible.

In this connection, please attend our workshop ISP@IFA Global Markets at STATION-Berlin on 08 and 09 September, where comprehensive expert knowledge on the significance of climate change and sustain-able stand construction awaits you – see programme in book let. Von Hagen Design has also set up sample stands here – in a sustainable construction style – so this is another good reason to visit the showroom of STATION-Berlin (i.e. where the sustainability workshop is also taking place)!
