Abortion is murder in the womb...A child is a gift of God. If
you do not want him, give him to me.
Slide 3
At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas
we have received, how much money we have made, how many great
things we have done. We will be judged by 'I was hungry and you
gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and
you took me in.' Hungry not only for bread - but hungry for love.
Naked not only for clothing - but naked for human dignity and
respect. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks - but
homeless because of rejection.
Slide 4
Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your
strength lies.
Slide 5
Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I
think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than
the person who has nothing to eat... We must find each other.
Slide 6
By blood and origin I am Albanian. My citizenship is Indian. I
am a Catholic nun. As to my calling, I belong to the whole world.
As to my heart, I belong entirely to the heart of Jesus.
Slide 7
God will find another person, more humble, more devoted, more
obedient to him, and the society will go on.
Slide 8
Humility is the mother of all virtues; purity, charity and
obedience. It is in being humble that our love becomes real,
devoted and ardent. If you are humble nothing will touch you,
neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are. If you
are blamed you will not be discouraged. If they call you a saint
you will not put yourself on a pedestal.
Slide 9
I choose the poverty of our poor people. But I am grateful to
receive (the Nobel) in the name of the hungry, the naked, the
homeless, of the crippled, of the blind, of the lepers, of all
those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared-for throughout
society, people that have become a burden to the society and are
shunned by everyone.
Slide 10
I have never been in a war before, but I have seen famine and
death. I was asking (myself), 'What do they feel when they do
this?' I don't understand it. They are all children of God. Why do
they do it? I don't understand.
Slide 11
I know God won't give me anything I can't handle; I just wish
He didn't trust me so much.
Slide 12
I prefer you to make mistakes in kindness than work miracles in
unkindness.
Slide 13
I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's wounds,
I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful
experience?
Slide 14
If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.
Slide 15
If you judge people, you have no time to love them.
Slide 16
Joy is a net by which you catch souls.
Slide 17
Kind words are short and easy to speak, but their echoes are
truly endless.
Slide 18
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire
it. Life is bliss, taste it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a
challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game,
play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome
it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is
a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is
luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is
life, fight for it.
Slide 19
Many people mistake our work for our vocation. Our vocation is
the love of Jesus.
Slide 20
Our life of poverty is as necessary as the work itself. Only in
heaven will we see how much we owe to the poor for helping us to
love God better because of them.
Slide 21
Please choose the way of peace.... In the short term there may
be winners and losers in this war that we all dread. But that never
can, nor never will justify the suffering, pain and loss of life
your weapons will cause.
Slide 22
Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house.
Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door
neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and
happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in
your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness
in your warm greeting.
Slide 23
The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis, but
rather the feeling of being unwanted.
Slide 24
The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the
hunger for bread.
