Final causality assessment of serious AEFIs shall be conducted by ISB

IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES
Response LGU level
Response based on the AEFI committee
ASSISTANCE TO AEFI CASES LGU shall ensure all serious AEFI cases
are provided with immediate assistance
If post mortem exam is required, DOH shall provide necessary assistance
DOH retained and other government hospital shall not charge the patient any fee
If no existing /accessible government facility, it can be managed in a private facilty and assistance shall be provided by LGU with support from DOH
ASSISTANCE TO HEALTH WORKERS Concerned public health professional
shall not held liable as long as DOH standard operating procedures are complied as per assessment of local, regional AEFI committe or NAEFIC
DOH shall collaborate with PAO, OSG,IBP in providing appropriate legal assistance
Local police force shall provide assistance for any threats received
ASSISTANCE TO HEALTH WORKERS In case of physical Injury, they will be
provided with free medical assistance in government facility. If referral is needed to a private facility, expenses incurred will be reimbursed by the LGU/DOH
HW will be given due process for any administrative, civil or criminal sanctions filed. Assistance will be given by LGU for any expenses incurred
