25 years Brand van EgmondA celebratory year in which we proudly present our new collection and show some of the possibilities with our

customised lighting sculptures. We’re looking back at a quarter of a century of creating handmade lighting sculptures

without restriction. In these 25 years we have built a solid international reputation with our signature designs. What

started in a garage, has become a fully fledged design studio with its own ateliers operating in more than 60 countries.

While constantly creating new lighting sculptures, we proudly embrace our heritage.

Every day we are inspired by the world around us, the people we meet and the amazing projects we are part of. We

believe in the power of beauty and craftsmanship which makes each of our lifestyle pieces unique. We are always

looking for new techniques and materials of the highest quality and strive for innovation. We hope we can trigger your

imagination with our collection and with the possibilities of customising our lighting sculptures.

Our exceptional light objects are often created in consultation with architects. Partners such as Chopard Boutique,

Louis Vuitton, Neuhaus Chocolatier, La Cornue cookers and various exclusive hotel chains including W Hotels, have

invited BRAND VAN EGMOND to create customised lighting solutions.

We welcome everybody who wants to see our lighting sculptures, or would like a personal consultation with William

Brand and Annet van Egmond, to visit our design studio and our atelier in Naarden, close to Amsterdam in The

Netherlands.

Sultans of SwingOur special Sultans of Swing can be shaped and formed

to your needs. You can select from four different single light

objects, each with its own characteristic shaped curls.

You can use them by itself or combine them to your needs.

KelpDesign by William Brand

We present our new customised special “Kelp”. It creates a dramatic light source which

brings an exhilarating sense in the interior. You can use the object in any direction you

want. A single object with a ceiling cover can create an organic light or you can form a

dancing composition by entwining various lighting objects together.

Candles and SpiritsDesign by William Brand

The single light object from our Candles and Spirits special is considerable bigger than its baby sister from our

collection. Because of its size, it deserves a generous location where it can reach its full potential.

A single light object with a ceiling cover can be used on its own or create a more lavish lighting sculpture with multiple

objects in a horizontal or vertical composition.

Customised objectsEvery BRAND VAN EGMOND lighting sculpture is hand-made and unique. Besides our regular collection we

frequently produce Haute Couture objects for clients with specifi c requests. In association with architects and private

clients around the globe we use our knowledge and expierence to translate these wishes into handcrafted reality.

Our design studio welcomes requests for new projects on a daily basis. We listen while being served information,

beautiful anecdotes and delicious details from those that require assistance in their search for their perfect lighting

object. We in return get inspired, and start creating. After a fi nal approval our ateliers perform the required handwork

in order to transform the fi nal sketches into handcrafted reality: another lighting sculpture is born.

Customised Hollywood Icicles Design by William Brand and Annet van Egmond

Touched by the slenderness and pureness of the trees they encountered travelling

the world, Annet and William were inspired to design the Hollywood collection.

Just as nature comes in all possible forms and shapes the Hollywood line is equally

diverse, including the possibility to customise with hand blown icicles.

Technical informationCUSTOMISED LIGHTING SCULPTURES

Our lighting sculptures are fully customisable. You can select the single lighting objects and combine them to create a lighting sculpture that

will fit your project perfectly. BRAND VAN EGMOND design studio can help you to make a presentation.

Below you find examples of possible variations to create your own customised lighting sculpture.

Sultans of Swing

You can choose from four single Sultans of Swing light objects

each with its own characteristic twirl.

Add a swing to the interior by using a single light object

with a ceiling cover or create a rhythm by using multiple in a

customised composition.

Candles and Spirits

The single light object from this special is worth its weight.

With a diameter of 50 cm it is a luminous giant with a delicate

appearance.

You can use a single Candles and Spirits with a ceiling

cover or you can combine as many as you want to create the

composition you desire.

Kelp

An energetic cluster with light with which you can form a

melodic composition. You can let the light objects dance in line

or they can reach higher and higher.

A single object can stand on its own or can be combined with

more to create a more dynamic effect.

William Brand (1963) was trained as an artist and an architect. He graduated at

the Utrecht School of Arts.

As an award-winning furniture designer he for many

years designed buildings and interiors for fashion brands,

including the headquarters of BRAND VAN EGMOND. His

interior designs are always minimalist, in contrast to his

lighting designs which have a powerful sculptural presence.

He considers his lighting objects the cherry on the cake.

His way of working is quite specific. Immediately after

defining the concept he starts working in the workshop

like a sculptor; experimenting and crafting while having the

object grow in his hands, often with unexpected results.

Therefore the journey is just as exciting and important as

the destination.

Annet van Egmond (1964) was trained as an artist and graduated as a sculptor at

the Utrecht School of Arts.

She draws her inspiration from sources as varied as life

itself; from travelling to different continents to meeting

new people, from the universal power of literature to the

ancient grandeur of castles. Her creativity did not just

result in numerous lines of innovative lighting sculptures,

but also in exquisite jewellery and wall coverings. Her

passion for design and photography resulted in a book by

her hand called ‘Lighting Sculptures’. She is excited about

the prospect of exploring many more design opportunities.

Autonomy is the foundation of her being and creating.
