L’Oréal Connect Portal

L’Oréal Connect, an all new initiative of making the maximum use of the fast

growing internet world. L’Oréal Connect is a platform for placing Orders Online through a

website. This portal provides for anytime/ anyplace placing of the order over the Internet

for its client across the country.

The best part of this portal being

1. No Software Installation requirement or maintenance.

2. Can connect to the portal using a Dial-Up Internet connection.

The advantages of this portal being

1. It would help all the clients by saving time of making the order manually and

faxing the copy across to the warehouse.

2. No more hassle of confirming back about the readability of the faxed copy or

worries of losing the order in transit by the courier.

3. No mistakes while dictating the products to the warehouse operator over the

phone.

4. It will ensure the sanctity of order flowing to the warehouse in the form it is was

entered and validated.

5. I will ensure a faster processing of the orders by the warehouse.

6. No more worries on missing out on any brand; L’Oréal Connect provides a

complete list of all the products available for sale.

7. Clear distinction of the promo and non-promo catalogues.

Order Flow

To facilitate a faster and an easy mode of ordering, L’Oréal Connect attempts to

transform the ordering products and digitalize into an electronic form. The whole process is

as easy as counting 1, 2, 3.

STEPS INVOLVED IN THE ORDER PROCESS

STEP 1: Order is entered by the client on L’Oréal Connect.

STEP 2: Sales In Charge will confirm and validate the order through L’Oréal Connect.

STEP 3: Warehouse (CFA) will receive and process the orders.

Login to L’Oréal Connect

1. On your desktop double-click the Internet Explorer icon, and type in the

address bar the portal address http://www.lorealconnect.com to

access L’Oréal Connect.

NOTE: You can also save time instead of entering the complete address by adding this site

to the Internet Explorer favorites list. How? After opening the portal for the first time go to

Favorites Menu Add to Favorite on the Internet Explorer page. The next time you want

to access the portal you need to go the Favorites and click L’Oréal Connect link.

2. Type your User Name and the Password (as provided to you by L’Oréal) and

click LOGIN. Please remember your password is case-sensitive.

NOTE: Do not give/ disclose your User Name and Password to anybody. In case you have

lost your password or forgot your password, please call up your Sales In Charge to reset the

password.

3. The first time you log into L’Oréal Connect portal, you would be asked to change

the password to proceed ahead. Enter current password which was used to log

on to the portal in the old password box provided and enter a unique new

password in the new password and confirm password box. The new password

entered should be different from the last passwords which you had used.

NOTE: Your password should be a combination of name and numbers e.g.: If the name of

the user is RAVI KUMAR. Then the password should be ravi2007 or ravi07 or 07ravi, etc.

Entering Orders in L’Oréal Connect

For entering a new orders, select the menu option “ENTER ORDERS”.

1. Select the appropriate Mother Brand and the Brand and click Search to display

the list of all the products for the selection. You can also search on a certain

range of products for which the Product Code or the Product Description is

known. Type in the initial text of the Product Code “CNCFE” for all codes starting

with CNCFE be listed; or the Description like “COLOR” for all products

description starting with COLOR.

2. Based on the brands selected, list will display the products and distinguished

between promo (all promo products will be shown in grey) and normal

products. Select the product and enter quantity to order in the Quantity column,

the approximate value for the quantities ordered will be shown in immediate

next column. The total order value will be displayed as “Approx. Total

Amount” for the order. Once the products for the particular brand have been

selected and the quantity entered click “Add to Cart” to add all selected

products into cart. To continue with other products select the respective filters

by changing the Mother Brand or the Brand whichever is necessary and add to

the cart after entering the quantity. Continue on with this process until your

order entry is completed.

NOTE: 1. The Approx. Total Value is an approximate indicator of the total order value;

the Sale Invoice value may change in relation to the variation in the MRP and/ or

availability.

2. All products selected needs to be added to the cart on regular interval to avoid

reentering the whole order in case of internet line disconnection/ power loss, etc.

3. Add to the Cart mean products selected are being placed in the cart until the

complete order is confirmed for validation.

4. The Approx. Total Value shown is the CLP (Company Landing Price) Value and

excludes taxes.

3. On completing with order entry a summary of the products ordered in the cart

will be displayed at the top. The product added to the cart does not denote that

the orders are placed. In case of any changes to be made in the cart like deleting

a product from the cart, click the “X” mark to remove from cart or to modify the

quantity click on “Edit” link in the cart. After all the modification (if any) is

completed, click on the “Place Order” link to confirm the order for further

processing. “Print Order” link will print a copy of the order for future

references. In case the whole order has to be emptied clicking on “Empty Cart”

link will empty all the products in the cart.

NOTE: 1. To place the order and confirm it; the minimum order value should be

Rs.10, 000/- . Until the order is not equal to that amount the “Place Order” link will not be

enabled.

2. Products added to the Cart do not mean that the order is placed.

4. Once the orders is placed and confirmed a summary of the orders will be

displayed on the main screen. The order summary will display the “Order

Value” mentioned next to the order “Order Date” and an “Order No” and the

status of the order is set to “Validation Pending”

IN BRIEF: Enter Orders in L’ORÉAL CONNECT

STEP 1: Click on the Enter Orders Link.

STEP 2: Select the Mother Brand & Brand to display the product list.

STEP 3: Enter the quantities for the selected product.

STEP 4: Add to cart.

STEP 5: Repeat Steps 2 to 4 until for selecting other products.

STEP 6: Place the Order.

MODIFICATION TO THE ORDERS

1. Order can be viewed at any point of time even after it is placed. In the Summary

List where the orders are shown click on the “View/ Modify” link which will

display the complete order. To make any changes in the order click on the

“Convert Order to Cart” which will put all the products in the order back to

the cart. Perform the necessary changes like modification of the quantity or

deletion of product. It is also possible to add a new product by selecting the

desired Signature/ Brand and selecting it to the cart the product from the list.

Once the changes have been done to the carts confirm the order by clicking on

the “Place Order” to continue with the processing of the order.

MODIFICATION REQUEST TO AN ORDER

The final authority of the orders acceptance is the Sales In charge for the respective

client. Once the client places the order; the Sales In charge is responsible to accept or to

request for modification of the order. Orders for which modification request are sent are

clearly marked in red.

In case there are any orders marked for modification the same steps have to be

repeated like modification of an order.

1. Open the Order.

2. Convert to Cart.

3. Perform the necessary changes.

4. Place the order.

IN BRIEF: Modify Orders in L’ORÉAL CONNECT

STEP 1: Click on the “X” to remove any product from the Cart list.

STEP 2: Click on the “Edit” to modify the quantity of the product.

STEP 3: Select the respective Signature/ Brand from the list and add it to the cart.

STEP 4: Repeat Steps 1 & 2 for any modifications to the cart.

STEP 5: Repeat Steps 3 for selecting and adding other products.

STEP 6: Place the Order.

CHANGE PASSWORD

Passwords are a very critical and integral part of any user login details. Do not

reveal or give away your login details to anybody under any circumstance.

Since there is a possibility, the user might forget the password or may lose it. During

such a problem Sales In charge needs to be intimated immediately. Once your password is

reset you can re-login in the system with the password provided to you after resetting by

the Regional Coordinator.

Also any user can change the login password when ever he desires by clicking on the

“Change Password” menu. Enter the current password in the Old Password field and a

new password desired in the new password (in the specified manner). Reenter the new

password in the confirm password box and click on “Change Password” to change the

password.
