Students will be given quizzes to inform the instructor their knowledge of State Board applications. In order for the student to understand the concepts, visuals of models during lecture and, if possible, actual product will be used on the mannequins.


The exam was too easy for the students. Variables will be adjusted to be more challenging and point value of each variable will be re-evaluated.

Students will be given quizzes to inform the instructor their knowledge of State Board applications. Students were allowed to bring a 5x7 index card to use with note for their final practical exam. This simplified the exam, creating high averages. Next term will not be allowed the index card during the exam and students will be quizzed to enable memorization of applications.

I will state in syllabi that more timed practical exercises will be implemented prior to midterm and final examination. I will enforce more safety and sanitation precautions, disinfection procedures and client protection. I will acknowledge students with praise when job is done well and give constructive criticism as needed. I would like to implement more sculpture procedures. I will also encourage students to take advantage of the online material.

Professor is satisfied with the results. The students are doing very well understanding the material. More challenging questions will be incorporated into the next final exam.


Will state in Syllabi, that students are expected to do the Manicure in 30 minutes so they can practice prior to final Practical Exam. This will improve the performance of the student doing the simulated Practical Exam.


A pattern emerged through analysis of the final results. Students were provided a Ruberic to follow for guidance in their criteria to meet standards of the final examinations. Emphasis will continue to focus on the sculpting Ruberic, a mock sculpting exam and oral reinforcement during all sculpting operations

At this time there is a 4 week progress report, and I would like to give another progress report before the students graduate. Their Final Written and Practical Exam helps, but I would like to evaluate each student before State Board Exams and future employment. At this time, the SLO's could serve as a final exit evaluation. We would also achieve a factual assessment if the course has been successful in reaching its' main goals.
