(#4) Ingredient Description

Powdered Sugar Powdered sugar is very fine sugar. It is granulated

sugar that has been ground up multiple times. The “fineness” of the sugar is generally identified with X’s. 6x and 10x are the most common types. Powdered sugar is generally used for icings or frostings. It is also dusted on top of cookies, cakes, or other desserts for decoration and added sweetness.

(#5) Equipment DescriptionKitchenAid Mixer

The KitchenAid mixer is a versatile, multi-use mixer. The mixer can be used to whisk, whip, cream, form dough and many other uses. The mixer has 3 separate attachments for different uses. There is a paddle, whisk, and dough hook attachment. The paddle is generally used to mix ingredients together or cream things. It can also be used for some doughs. The whisk can be used to whip eggs or incorporate air into heavy cream to create whipped cream. The dough hook is used for mixing and forming doughs. The KitchenAid mixer can also be useful for many other things besides baking. I use it with the paddle attachment when making egg salad. It mixes everything and breaks up the eggs perfectly. I have also seen it used to shred pulled pork. The KitchenAid mixer is very safe. The only real safety concern that I can think of would be if someone were to get their fingers caught between the neck of the mixer where the head comes down or if someon managed to have their hand in the mixing bowl while the machine was running, which would be extremely difficult because there’s not much space to fit a hand.
