FINANCIAL AID OFFICE

• Revisedthephonesystemsothatithasamessagingsystemandcaninformstudentsofcommonlyaskedquestionsbeforeitgoestoafinancial aid officer to pick up.

• ModifiedintakeprocessesduringNewStudentOrientationandeveryinstancewherethereisalineofmorethansevensothateverystaffmemberseesstudentsandparents,therebyreducingwaittime.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT OFFICE

• Exceededthegoalofafivepercentincreaseininternationalstudentapplicationsforfall2014;theincreasewas64percent,whichresultedinanadditional146applicationsbeyondthegoal.Thetotalnumberofapplicationswas409forfall2014,comparedwith250the previous year.

• Exceededthegoalofathreepercentincreaseininternationalstudentenrollmentsinadegree-seekingprogramforfall2014;theincreasewasactually45percent,whichresultedinanadditional73enrollmentsbeyondthegoal.Thetotalnumberofenrollmentswas251forfall2014,comparedwith173thepreviousyear.

OFFICEOFENROLLMENTMANAGEMENT

• ThevicepresidentforenrollmentmanagementbecamepresidentoftheAmericanAssociationofCollegiateRegistrarsandAdmissionsOfficers (AACRAO) in April 2015.

SCHOLARSHIP OFFICE

• CompiledareportforInstitutionalAdvancementofallscholarshipendowments,levelofendowment,yearestablishedandcurrentbalances.Thereportwasusedtoidentifyunderfundedscholarshipsanddevelopmentofficersareworkingwithdonorstoincrease these scholarships.

• Enhancedtheonlinescholarshipapplicationwithfocusonimprovingtheresumeapplicationfeaturefornewstudentsandalsocreationof passwords. Scholarship Services worked closely with IT to make the suggested changes to the online scholarship application which has greatly improved the process for applying.

UPWARD BOUND

• TheUpwardBoundProgram’s2008cohorthada47.6percentsix-yeargraduationrateinthelastreportedannualreporttotheU.S.Department of Education.

• Onehundredpercent(100%)oftheUpwardBoundparticipantsachieveda2.5GPAorhigherforthe2013-2014reportingyear.

UPWARD BOUND MATH AND SCIENCE

• Onehundredpercent(100%)oftheUpwardBoundMathandScienceparticipantsachieveda2.5GPAorhigherforthe2013-2014reporting year.
