Monthly Abstract of Statistics September, 2004
Preface
The Monthly Abstract of Statistics presents key statistical data pertaining to various factsof the Indian economy. The publication has a standing of over 56 years. The subject coverage isreviewed periodically and attempts are made to improve it, keeping in view comparability andcontinuity.
The publication includes many charts to bring out the seasonality, if any, of the monthlyseries. Efforts have been made to improve the presentation and enhance readability.
The publication presents monthly data for the last three financial years. A list of pricedpublications of Central Statistical Organisation has also been appended.
Suggestions for further improvement of the publication are most welcome.
