Follow up activities for the book: ”The bridge legend ”

As we participate in “PJ books library” project, we get every month a book which emphasizes one Jewish value . This month we got “The bridge legend” by Shlomo Abas

We connected it to the idiom “Aharon loves peace and chases it”

We emphasize the importance of living in peace with our friends, family and neighbors.

As we dedicate this year to the Hebrew language , we expose the children to the Torah language , the Mishna language , the Midrash language etc, referring to the topic of peace. In my class I was happy to see peace makers and we dramatized the story of Aharon

This is the man which was walking with the angry face and no one has ever said Shalom to him

פעם ראשונה שאהרון מקדים ל"איש הזועף" שלום.

הוא בטוח שאהרון התבלבל כי הרי אף אחד לא אומר לו שלום!

בפעם השלישית הם לוחצים ידיים...

At the third time , they shook hands

Aharon said “Shalom” to that person for the first time. That person was sure that Aharon got confused as no one had ever said hello to him.

האיש משתנה!כשהוא פוגש את הילד הוא נזכר באהרון שהקדים לו שלום והביט בו בעניים אוהבות,בידו החמה המושטת ובקולו הרך.

הוא חושב שמוטב להתאפק ולא לצעוק על הילד השובב ומאותו יום הוא משתנה והופך להיות אדם טוב,עוזר לשכניו מארח בביתו גם את הילדים

ומאיר פנים לכולם.

The man changed! When he met the child he remembered Aharon with his warm voice ,warm eyes and hand shaking. He decided to hold himself and did not shout at the child. From that day he changed and became a friendly person who helped his neighbors and was happy with everyone.

מריבה פרצה בחצר:כל אחת רוצה .לשחק בילקוט

ליאל לקחה יוזמה והחליטה להשכין שלום בין השתיים
