If you already have a customer number, you can order by phone, fax, e-mail or directly in our Bohle Online-Shop www.bohle.de. After you have placed your order, you will receive either an order confirmation or a proforma invoice for your acceptance. Please read all order confirmations/proforma invoices carefully, they serve as a double-check for your order. Any necessary changes/disagreements to our confirmation have to be communicated to us immediately after receipt, otherwise the order detailsare considered accepted. Delivery Time

You can order for delivery on a fixed date, if desired. If no date is mentioned, we will deliver as soon as all articles are available. The earliest possible delivery week is mentioned on the order confirmation.

Transport Cost

Background InformationAlready since 1657, when Otto von Guericke amazed the scientific world with his "Magdeburg semi-spheres", we know that our atmosphere is under pressure. The earth is covered by a layer of air several kilometres thick whose weight presses onto the earth's surface. This is known as "atmospheric pressure". The farther you move away from the earth's surface, the smaller the atmospheric pressure: up to an altitude of 2000 m, it decreases by 1.23% per 100 m.

Here are a few examples: Sea level 0 m 1013 mbarMunich 530 m 951 mbarOn the Zugspitze 2963 m 704 mbarOn Mount Everest 8850 m 314 mbar

This means that a lifting device with a carrying capacity of 100 kg (at sea level) has a carrying capacity of only 87,7 kg at an altitude of 1000 m.

Why does a suction holder grip onto a surface?

If we reduce the pressure inside a closed space, we transform the force of the atmospheric pressure into energy.The best and most familiar example is the vacuum cleaner. The higher pressure around the end piece of the vacuum cleaner is responsiblefor its smooth functioning. It quasi presses the dust into the vacuum cleaner.Likewise crucial for a suction holder's gripping power is this pressure difference, i.e. the difference in pressure between the surroundingarea and the hollow space under the suction pad. But the size of the suction pad is also a decisive factor.The most important relationship is: Force (F) = Pressure (D) x Area (A)Thus the larger the suction pad and the higher the vacuum, the stronger the gripping power.In order to determine the size of a required suction pad for a given weight, the following formula can be used:

ø suction pad (mm) = 113 x weight kg x safety factorvacuum % x number of suction pads

Example:

A load capacity of 60 kg is needed, safety factor 2, the suction pad achieves a vacuum of 50%How large must the Ø (diameter in mm) of the suction pad be?

ø suction pad (mm) = 113 x 60 x 2 50 x 1

ø suction pad (mm) = 175 mm

In this case the suction pad must have a min. Ø of 175 mm.

Lifting direction

Suction Lifters

No matter whether you need to handle materials like glass, marble, sheet metal or plastic,whether flat or curved: Bohle provides the optimum solution for practically all handlingrequirements. The products are developed with special attention given to safety andergonomics. Independent institutions like trade associations or the German TechnicalInspection Authority have confirmed this many times over. For applications up to 200 °C, many suction lifters are also available with special silicon suction pads. Furthermore, some of the products can also be produced in private label versions. Pump-Activated Suction LiftersWith these suction lifters, the vacuum is created by manually activating a pump. All pump-activated suction lifters shown here can easily beequipped with a rechargeable battery unit which automatically initiates a re-pumping in case of need. This increases the application possibilities ofyour suction lifter considerably. Bohle supplies all VERIBOR pump-activated suction lifters in a robust plastic case.

VERIBOR Clad-LiftThe VERIBOR Clad-Lift is suitable to lay standard aluminium/steel sandwich elements horizontally and vertically as well as for mounting roof panels(with spring bearing suction pads and additional extensions). The high-performance battery makes the unit independent of any power line and thevacuum unit can therefore also be used with cranes or fork lifts. Your Safety is our Priority!Manual suction lifters must not be used in connection with cranes or other lifting devices.Objects must not be lifted above people. By the same token, suction lifters must not be used to secure people.Examine the suction pads before each use. They must be smooth, clean, undamaged and without fissures.Clean suction pads regularly with spirit or other non-aggressive cleaners.Make sure that the surface/object to be lifted is made of airtight material. In addition, this surface must be clean, dry, and free of oil and grease. On rough or porous surfaces the holding capacity decreases or is non-existent.Manual suction lifters are suitable for short-term lifting, carrying or holding only.Make sure that the load is securely put in place before removing the suction lifter. Release the vacuum suction before removing the suction lifter.Do not use any sharp objects to loosen the suction lifter from the surface as this would damage the suction pad.Use only original Bohle spare parts.

Attention: Important information!The illustrated applications are examples only and do not take specific circumstances of the particular user into consideration. The indicated holding capacities are based on suction lifters in new condition used on clean, dry and flat sheets of glass (float glass) ata room temperature of 20°C and atmospheric pressure of 1013 mbar. Please note that air pressure decreases with increasing altitudeabove sea level and thus results in a reduced carrying capacity. Cold temperatures, humidity and pollution, carelessly treated or evendamaged suction pads, as well as lifting or holding materials other than flat glass (e.g. structured glass, plastics, stone, metal, etc.)may reduce the holding capacity considerably. It is therefore the user's responsibility to examine the suitability of the suction lifter forthe intended use. Furthermore, the information in the user instructions which are provided with the products must be strictly followed.The manufacturer disclaims any liability, including indirect or consequential loss, damages or expenses.Technical features of products as well as technical data given in this catalogue are subject to change.In order to be able to give comparable carrying capacities, our measurements are uniformly based on flat glass surfaces. Suction lifters designed for curved surfaces may achieve higher values, depending on the surface.

Suction pads can generally leave prints on surfaces, but this does not mean lower quality!Should this be a problem for you, the prints can be removed with the Bohle ClearShield cleaning products.Please contact us in this regard.

Export Sales Conditions

1. ApplicationThese conditions apply to sales, service as well as all statementsmade by Bohle in catalogues, brochures, price lists, quotations, onthe internet or verbally. Variations of these conditions are onlyvalid if confirmed by Bohle in writing. Any other terms or condi-tions are excluded. Placing an order means acceptance of theseconditions. Bohle may change their sales conditions at their dis-cretion.

2. Orders/Contract Orders are accepted by mail, internet, phone or fax but are onlybinding when accepted by Bohle in writing (order confirmation).

3.Price & Payment Terms Quotations are only valid in writing and for the stated period.Bohle reserves the right to change products at any time but gua-rantees at least equivalent functionality and performance.Prices are to be understood in €, net, ex-works, excluding tax,transport cost, insurance and installation. Bohle reserves the rightto adjust prices due to exchange rates, production cost, duties,insurance, freight and other purchase costs (incl. for components& services).Orders below € 300 are not accepted. For orders of up to € 600 aprocessing charge of € 80 will be added. Excluded are deliveriesof spare parts. Payment is to be made either in advance (wire transfer) or by irre-vocable, confirmed letter of credit issued to our indicated bank.Other payment conditions have to be agreed upon prior to accep-ting the order. All bank charges outside Germany are for theaccount of the purchaser. Bohle covers all bank charges insideGermany.Bohle may suspend deliveries or service until having received fullpayment. Late payment entitles Bohle to charge interest of 6%above the minimum bank rate of the European Central Bank on theamount due. Any cost involved with receiving a late payment arefor the account of the purchaser. Cheques may only be acceptedconditionally.

4. Delivery/Title/Risk Deliveries take place from our warehouses in Haan or Torgau(Germany). The delivery period stated in the order confirmation isapproximate. Delays in delivery do not justify any kind of compen-sation.We reserve the right to supply similar articles in case the productsordered are not available or have been modified. Partial deliveriesmay be made. Title to product passes on full payment only. Untilthen the purchaser has to insure and store the goods separatelyand may not modify, pledge or sell them. On request the productshave to be made available to Bohle for re-collection. Should thepurchaser sell the goods before the title has passed, the proceedsof that sale shall be held on Bohle's behalf, separately from thepurchaser's general funds. If the purchaser refuses to accept adelivery without Bohle's agreement, he must pay Bohle's expen-ses or loss resulting from that refusal, including storage costs,until he accepts delivery.

5. Acceptance Delivered products have to be inspected by the purchaser prompt-ly after receipt of the delivery. If the purchaser does not claim anydiscrepancies in the delivery within 1 week after receipt of theshipment in his warehouse, the goods are considered as accepted.Should Bohle agree to returning products, they must be in theiroriginal condition (unused, undamaged, in original packaging) andaccompanied by a return note as well as proof of purchase. Anyreturn charges are for the purchaser's account.

6. WarrantyBohle guarantees that their products will be free from defects for6 months after date of invoice. Should a product be defective wit-hin this period, Bohle will repair or replace it within a reasonabletime. Bohle is allowed to examine the product at the purchaser'sor Bohle's premises (at Bohle´s choice). Any return of goods has tobe approved by Bohle in writing before being effected. Any ship-ments sent collect will not be accepted. Bohle will not acceptwarranty protection claims for damage caused by incorrect instal-lation, use, modifications or repair by the purchaser or any unau-thorised 3rd party.

7. Liability Any liability exceeding the replacement of faulty material is gene-rally excluded. This refers especially to any indirect or consequen-tial loss, damages or expenses.

8. Force Majeure Bohle is not liable for delays in delivery or service caused by cir-cumstances beyond their reasonable control and will be entitledto a delivery time extension for the fulfilment of the order.

9. Jurisdiction Only German law applies and the exclusive place of jurisdictionfor all legal disputes is Haan, Germany.
