The Verb GUSTAR
Gustar means “to be pleasing to”.
In English, we say “to like (something)”.
Gustar doesn’t work like other verbs in Spanish.

First, let’s get a “feel” for how to say a gustar
phrase in English.
Gustar with Infinitives

To me it is pleasing to run.
He likes to talk.

Spanish.
Gustar with Infinitives
I like to dance.(To me it is pleasing to
dance.)You don’t like to watch tv.(To you it is not pleasing
watch tv.They like to go to school.(To them it is pleasing to go
to school.)

A ti no te gusta ver la tele.
A ellos les gusta ir a la
escuela.
Use the singular form "gusta”, when followed by an
infinitive
