people, places, and environment. Geography focuses on five themes: Location, Region, Place, Movement, and Human-Environment Interaction

The people in a society that have the authority to make laws, ensure they are carried out, and settle disagreements.
Limited – everyone must obey the laws
Unlimited- rulers do whatever they want
Citizen - legal member of a country
Government
Economics is the study of how people
manage their resources by producing, exchanging, and using goods and services. There are three types of resources:
1. Natural – gifts of nature 2. Human – skills people have 3. Capital- things people make
