Animals Change Ecosystems

Locusts- feed on all the plants in their way

Beavers- make ponds by damming streams

Earthworms- dig holes through soil to bring oxygen to plants roots.

People Change Ecosystems

Build Houses

Throw out garbage

Clear Forrests

How plants change the ecosystem

People bring plants with them when they move

When a specie of plant is brought into and ecosystem it could harm the plants that are already there.

Garlic Mustard Plant

Used for food and medicine

Not eaten by animals

Takes over forest floor

Zebra Muscles

Animal moved because it stuck to bottom of ships

No predator to control population Grows fast

Takes space and food needed by other animals Other animals may die

Landfills

Acid Rain

Rain that has absorbed pollution

Pollutes lakes and soils.

Plants and animals can die
