SECURE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT:
Ask national organization for a flyer to present to the administration with keys points
Set up a meeting with the administration (30 minutes)CTO’s makes a difference in student

ESTABLISH A CHAPTER
Apply for a state charter Develop a constitution Contact state director and asked to be included on state
mailing list Contact State and National Office to request resource
materials. Ask for a membership kit from the National Office
REGISTER YOURSELF AND STUDENT MEMBERS
Complete memberships formCollect and pay your dues
HOLD CHAPER MEETINGS
Introduce CTO to studentsa. If you have students from previous year available
– have them help introduce the CTO. Use a previous years national video.
Plan and publish an agenda for each monthly meeting a. Elected officers with your assistance can
complete this task. b. Use the national program of work as a guideline
for planning the meeting.c. Plan for social time and food for the end of the
meeting if allowed by the school administration.d. Invite state officers to visit your school for a
meeting.
Do not meeting unless you have a reason to meet.

With Administrative approval Get the students excited:
1. How will it help the student be better skilled in the workplace?
a. Identify top 10 employability skillsb. Classroom benefit – Team Projects, Hands-on
opportunities, applied learning (to the real world)
2. Opportunities available in CTO.a. Peer interaction – local, state, nationalb. Develop leadership skillsc. Participation in competitions
