Professor, AIM, has participated in the One - Day Workshop on 'Strategic Innovation : New Game Strategies for Competitive Advantage' organized by the Kerala Management Association on 19 th Nov. 2015. 'SPARKLE 2015' Four-Day Placement Training Workshop at AIM A lbertian Institute of Management organized a Placement Training and Development workshop - SPARKLE '15 for its 2015-2017 batch students in association with 'Vertical Eye' - one of the most popular Training & Development organizations in South India. The 4-day programme was organized with the objective of fine- tuning the employability competencies with respect to effective soft skills so that it compliments with the institution's core strength in academic excellence. The learning methodologies addressed all aspects of corporate expectations, positive attitude, team work, leadership, workplace etiquette, resume building, aptitude test, group discussion, personal interview, etc. in order to facilitate better student performance in campus recruitments. The closing ceremony was held on 7 th November in the presence of Dr. Rajagopala Nair Director, AIM and Mr. Gopesh C. R., Asst. Professor & Placement Coordinator, Institution News AIM. The participants were given away certificates; and seven students - Ms. Shilpa K., Ms. Jayalekshmy, Ms. Nisma Nassar, Mr. Vishnu MV, Mr. Sajal, Mr. Dcruz and Mr. Aravind Dinesh - got recognized with a Medal for their outstanding performance in the training programme. Professor, AIM, is the Resource Person on the topic 'Positive Work Attitude & Personality Development', at customs House, Cochin, in the Induction Training of Inspectors, organized by the National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics in November 2015 Syam K. Mohan and Muthukrishnan S., Managers, HDFC, Kochi are donating the text books and the study materials to the AIM Library after successful completion of their Senior Management Programme from the IIM, Calcutta. They find 'pleasure in giving, not in receiving' 2. Jeril Jacob of third semester MBA is the runner up in the Best Manager Competition organized by the Holy Grace Academy of Management Studies on 18 th and 19 th Nov. 2015. C ampus Recruitment process for the 2013-2015 batch is just begun; and, five Albertians - Ms. Shilpa K., Mr. Alwin Alexander, Mr. Clinton Antony, Akhil Vijayan and Mr. Neelroy - of 3 rd semester got placed in KPMG. The batch is also provided with placement opportunities in a few other reputed firms including Berger Paints, Bharti Airtel, Info Edge / Naukri.com, etc. in which the average salary is Rs. 4 Lakh per annum. Placement Cell is in discussion with a set of other renowned organizations too, for the student placement in 2016. Meanwhile, Mr. Haja Huzzain of the 2015 batch has been placed in the department of Operations, Service Quality & Compliance as Officer at XM Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. Albertian Institute of Management has been recognizedas the Partner Institute of Kerala State Industrial

Development Corporation ( KSIDC ) where by the AIM willbe co-operating with KSIDC in promoting Entrepreneurshipin the State. KSIDC organized 'WE SUMMIT 2015', the firstWomen Entrepreneurs Summit at Bolgatty Palace & IslandResort, Kochi on 19th Nov. 2015. Inaugurating the Summit,Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala Sri.Oommen Chandy told thatthe Govt. is committed to provide women entrepreneursthe required infrastructure and other financial assistance.He also announced that the business space would beprovided to women entrepreneurs at the GarmentManufacturing and Export Zone being set up at Angamaly.'Kerala has always been in the forefront of providingeducation to women. Such initiatives will help to bridgethe gender gap and bring in positive change,' said the ChiefMinister. Speaking on the occasion, Industries Minister Sri.

P. K. Kunhalikutty said the MSMEs in the State were growingwell, and expressed hope that women entrepreneurshipshould rise to the next level. Former Governor and UnionMinister Mrs. Margaret Alva, in her special addressappreciate the WE Summit, saying that Kerala has atradition of empowering women. 'WECAN ( WomenEntrepreneurs Collaborating And Networking ) aims atidentifying and supporting 1000 women entrepreneursacross the State to scale up their existing enterprises.Support will be provided in the from of infrastructure,mentoring, networking and financing options', said IT andIndustries Principal Secretary Mr. P. H. Kurian. Offeringfelicitations, Walmart India vice-president Mr.RajneeshKumar told that the Walmart would like to undertake themarketing of quality products produced by the WomenEntrepreneurs of India. All the students of First SemesterMBA of AIM and Faculty members attended the Summit.
