Key messages

• Military mentoring is taking place in all regions of the country, and in rural and urban programs

• BBBS agencies are serving all branches of the military, including significant involvement with the National Guard and Reserves

• Most programs serving military children or involving military Bigs are small, serving fewer than 25 children and/or fewer than 25 Bigs

• Agencies are eager to expand their programs serving children of military families, but very few have received dedicated funding for military mentoring

The majority of agencies that responded to the survey are currently involved with military communities
