Lailatul Qadr (Night of Decree)

لة القدر، وإنه تالحى فالن وفالن ف رفعت وعسى " المسلمني ف قال إني خرجت ألخبكم بلي را . " لكم التمسوها ف السبع والتيسع والمس أن يكون خي

( ( البخاريرواه ) )

'Ubada bin As-Samit (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

"Allah's Messenger (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) went out to inform the people about the (date of the) night of decree

(Al-Qadr) but there happened a quarrel between two Muslim men. The Prophet (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) said, "I

came out to inform you about (the date of) the night of Al-Qadr, but as so and so and so and so

quarreled, its knowledge was taken away (I forgot it) and maybe it was better for you. Now look

for it in the 7th, the 9th and the 5th (of the last 10 nights of the month of Ramadan)."

: قال ؟ يا رسول اهلل أرأيت إن علمت أي ليلة القدر ما أقول فيها : قلت : وعنها قالت " عيناللهم إنك عفو حتب العفو فاعف : قويل " ( ( رواه الرتمذي وقال حديث حسن صحيح ) )

Aaishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:

I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I

supplicate in it?" He (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) replied, "You should supplicate:

Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni

(O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me)." [At-Tirmidhi].

لة القدر إنا أن زلناه ف لي

لة القدر راك ما لي وما أ

ر من ألف شهر لة القدر خي لي م من كلي أمر ت ن زل المالئكة والروح فيها بإذن ربي

سالم هي حت مطلع الفجر

Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. {1}

And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? {2}

The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. {3}

The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. {4}

Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. {5}
