Conference Topics

The Royal Commission at Yanbu, and the Environment Center for Arab Towns(ECAT), with the support of Dubai Municipality and the Arab Towns Organization, arejointly organizing the 8th International Envirocities Conference 2019 entitled "Greeneconomy and Its Role in Economic, Environmental and Social Development toSupport Sustainability in Cities" during the period of 25-26 November 2019 at theKing Fahad Cultural Center - The Royal Commission at Yanbu – Kingdom of SaudiArabia. The conference focuses on adopting and applying the strategies and policies ofgreen economy, as well as encouraging the pioneering partnerships between thepublic and private sectors to adopt sustainable and groundbreaking green economyprojects that necessitates the integration and incorporation of effort at allgovernment, private and social levels. In addition, to raise awareness on the greeneconomy concept and the principles, as well as the challenges encountering theexecution and application thereof, besides, its significance for realizing thesustainable development in the Arab cities and to debate the strategies andinitiatives applied by the international organizations and the United Nationspredominantly. Besides, it aims at illustrating the role of the political and economicheadship and the decision-makers in strategic planning and applying policies,strategies and empowering procedures in order to generate green economicprograms, for preserving the environment and decreasing the carbon footprint ofindividuals and countries.

Submit the Speakers Participation Form by 01st June 2019 that contains contact

details, short biography, presentation title and main topics covered in the

presentation for review and evaluation by the scientific committee.

Once the participation is accepted, the conference organizing committee will get

in touch with the speaker and inform him of the date and time of his scheduled

presentation.

Submit PowerPoint presentation by 01st October 2019. PowerPoint presentation

can be sent via email.

Speakers shall also consider the following notes:

Each presentation is allocated a 20 minutes followed by Q&A session.

On the day of presentation, please arrive at your session room at least 30

minutes before the session is scheduled to start.

Speakers are kindly required to abide by the allocated time for their presentations

in order to avoid any inconvenience which may affect the next presenter. The

Chair of the session will manage the time and signal the remaining time.

After presentation, you should be prepared to respond to questions posed by the

audience and the chair/co-chair of your session (30 Min. for Each Session).

All speakers are advised to verify that their full names and affiliations are correctly

written on their Abstract and presentation in line with their badges as the

‘Certificate of Participation’ will include the same names.
