She’s Back!!

We had so much fun moving into the new shop, getting settled, opening the retreat

center, and sewing up a storm, Merry thought she could use some time off to get one of

her feet “straightened up” a bit. Well...long story short, and 7 or 8 weeks later, she’s

back! A few complications and challenges came up, but she’s gaining strength and

back in the saddle. We were a little concerned for a while, but the day we found her

sitting back at the sewing machine, we knew she’d made it over the hump! Thank you

for all the well wishes and encouragement — it was all so appreciated!

Now we’re ready to move on with LOTS of new fabric collections and new samples! If

you haven’t been to the shop lately, come in for a pick me up with some lovely spring

colors greeting you at the door. We’ve got a new Scrap Block Mania quilt all done, and

a new Buck-A– Block quilt to keep you quilting all year long. We’ve scheduled a few

classes in the next few months , plus we’re hosting a Mystery Quilt Retreat AND another

fun BUS HOP this spring, too!

Plans are underway for the second All Iowa Quilt Shop Hop this summer. We even have

some cool IOWA feature fabric to go along with the shop hop this year! Stay tuned!

There’s bound to be another snow day

around the corner soon...better get to

We love to support the sharing of comfort and love through the

gift of quilts! The second Tuesday of each month is set aside for Charity Quilt Days. Starting at 9:30 AM, we get together to cut, sew, tie, or sort fabrics to help the

Minimum of 4 people per booking.

Provided: Ironing boards and irons, tables and chairs, cutting tables, linens and pillows.

Breakfast provided each morning, other meals are on your own with kitchen access

than to meet some new quilting buddies and stitch

together at Merry’s Retreat Center! Merry has some

fun surprises planned for this girls weekend. All

meals will be provided. Just bring your machine,

sewing supplies, comfy clothes and be ready for fun! A fabric requirements

list will be supplied upon registration. Complete a whole top in a weekend!
