Publication of Act Apprenticeship Enrolment Result for the Verification of Documents

On 30th November’16 result for the enrolment of Act apprentices was published (Enrolment Notice No.E/WSR/Act apprentice/JMP/2014-15 dated Jamalpur, November 2016) for documents verification.

Grievance Camp

Grievance Camps were organised on 03.11.16, 17.11.16 and 25.11.16 where a total of 63 grievances registered. 46 Nos. (73%) were resolved on the spot and rest 17 Nos. are under process.

Demand Draft for JMP Jacks from DRDO

A Demand Draft of ₹ 73,14,836/- (No. 187034 dated 20.10.16) received from DRDO for the manufacturing of Jamalpur Jacks.

Payment of ₹ 10,000 as Advance Salary on 19th November’16

As per directive, payment of ₹ 10,000 as an advance salary (Part) of

November’16 was paid to the employees on 19.11.16 and 21.11.16. This workshop thus stand First by disbursing this payment promptly considering staff welfare in Eastern Railway.

4. MODERNIZATION OF JAMALPUR WORKSHOP:

Sanctioned vide P.B. item No.418 of 2008-09 on 03.04.2008. Estimate sanctioned by GM on 10.5.10 (Estimate No.24/CAO/CON of 2010-11, P.B No.527 of 2010-11). Total Estimated cost is ₹ 117.46 Cr. The project cost break up is as under:

One NSR for Stud Bolt and Nut has been withdrawn. PO against 07 NSRs have been issued but materials have not been received due to DPs ranging from 04 months to 09 months. It is requested to issue PO for Bearing and Retainer Rings early with short DP.

1. लेखा, कासमिक, डीजल एवं वगैन कायािलयों के 54 कासमिकों को हहदंी डसे्क प्रसिक्षण देते हुए हहदंी में कायि करने हेतु सहयोग प्रदान ककया गया तथा इन्हें

सहायक साहहत्य उपलब्ध कराया गया। 2. इंजीननयररगं एवं डीजल ववभाग की राजभाषा कायि समीक्षा बठैक संपन्न

कराई गई और इन कायािलयों में राजभाषा के प्रयोग-प्रसार ववषयक मदों पर

सववस्तार चचाि की गई। 3. हदनाकं 13.11.2016 को हहदंी सिक्षण योजना के अंतगित आयोजजत हहदंी प्राज्ञ

परीक्षा का आयोजन संपन्न कराया गया। इस परीक्षा में नासमत कुल 11

हहदंीतर भाषी प्रसिक्षणार्थियों ने भाग सलया। 4. कारखाना जस्थत ववसभन्न प्रिासननक कायािलयों एवं िॉप कायािलयों का

राजभाषा ववषयक ननरीक्षण ककया गया। ननरीक्षण के दौरान पाई गई त्रहुियों को सधुारा गया।

9. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:

To improve efficiency and to upkeep the work hands training arrangement is being made regularly through BTC, PTS and Simulator.

10. ENERGY MANAGEMENT:

Following action has been taken in the workshop as well as colonies for energy conservation:- Justified power regulation has been introduced to earn more benefit through energy conservation. Regular raids are being conducted to debar energy theft. In addition undernoted planning is in force to conserve energy.

5.0 Use of Information Technology and ITES:

Despite being located in a remote place, Jamalpur Workshop has taken initiative to provide the following IT enabled services: i) EDP Centre has implemented Incentive Module of workshop staff in

IPAS w.e.f. May’16. ii) All category Payrolls are electronically generated including

generation of Form 16 Module etc. iii) IPAS Module has been implemented at this workshop for GPR &

APR w.e.f. June’15. iv) Various important information such as Staff Strength, Workshop

Outturns, Incentive earnings of the staff etc. are being regularly updated in the Workshop Portal of Railway Board.

v) Various workshop performances related information are being put

into the public domain by regular updating Jamalpur Workshop portion of Eastern Railway web portal.
