5b) Screen shots To prove to the Border Immigration Agency that we have advertised our jobs for 28 days (grade 7 and above) we have to provide them with evidence (the screen shot), that the post was actually advertised. We MUST take the screen shot on the day the advert goes live on our website and Business Link. Go into the advert you want to screen shot, hover over the the time (bottom right of screen), and on the keyboard press the PrtScn button. Go into Microsoft word, create a new page and ‘paste’ your screen shot. Make sure it has all the details required. A valid screen shot must have the University logo, the job title, and the date it was advertised.

Save the Screen shotEach job has a specific reference number, starting AC or SD. Find the relevant folder in H:drive/Vacancies/2012 onwards, and depending upon the reference choose Academic or Support. Once in the correct vacany folder, set up a new folder called ‘Screen shots’ save the screen shot as follows: 1.SUwebscreenshot22.2.162.Business Link screen shot 22.2.16 3.Jobs.ac.ukscreenshot 22.2.16

It is important that the file name reflects where the post was advertised and the date.
