Parent-Child Mother Goose RegistrationThe Parent-Child Mother Goose Program® is a fun group experience for parents and their babies (from birth to 12 months) that focuses on the pleasure and power of learning rhymes, songs and stories.

Registration for Parent-Child Mother Goose at Lynn Valley Main Library opens Friday, January 6 at 9:00am. To register, call 604-984-0286, ext. 3, or visit the Children’s desk at Lynn Valley Main Library in person. The Parent-Child Mother Goose program at Lynn Valley Main Library will run Thursdays from 10:30am - 11:30am, January 19 to March 8. For more information, visit www.nvdpl.ca/children.

English Conversation CornerMonday, December 5 and 12, 7:30pm – 8:45pmCome and practise your English-language skills with a fun group of new speakers. This program is presented in partnership with the Bahá’í of North Vancouver. Free; no registration required. Participants must have some knowledge of English.

English Conversation Corners will take a break over the holidays, and will resume in the new year starting January 9.

BORROW AN EREADER!

North Vancouver District Public Library is now lending eReaders! There are 12 eReaders available: four Amazon Kindles, four Chapters Indigo Kobos, and four Sony Pocket Readers.

Each device can be loaned for up to three weeks, and comes pre-loaded with 10 popular book titles. Patrons can also download eBooks to the Kobos and Sony eReaders using British Columbia Libraries’ Library to Go service. Library to Go can be accessed via www.nvdpl.ca.

The eReaders are being lent as a part of a six-month pilot project.
