Friends like you make it a lot easier to get along in a new place. 有像你这样的朋友，在新的地方做事就容易多了。

(1) make 意为“使得”，在 make + it + adj. / n. + (for sb.) to do sth. 结构中，代词 it 是形式宾语，代替后面真正的宾语动词不定式

（短语）。如：She made it her business to take care of

her younger sister after her mother died. 在她妈妈去世后，她认为照顾妹妹是她应尽的责任。

(2) a lot 意为“……得多”，作表示程度的状 语，可修饰形容词或副词的比较级。如： I feel a lot better now. 我现在感觉好多了。

(3) get along / on 意为“相处；进展”。若表示 “ 相处融洽或进展情况良好”时，可用副词 well 修饰。
