Building Text Animation with Power Point

Animations Menu -(Located at the top next to “Transitions” menu.)

Animation is made simple in power point, the “Animations” tab has all the tools available to make the most of text in slides.

It contains time duration, trigger, delay controls & preview for each animation being used.

The “Trigger” sets a special start condition for an animation. “Animation Painter” allows you to copy the same animation action used for an

object and apply it to other text. As seen below, the “Effect Options” menu allows you to choose different

directions for animations.

Insert Menu

“Text Box” will probably be the single most used tool in creating text animation. This box can be duplicated on slides and can be drawn anywhere.

Animation Pane-(Located inside Animations menu right above the “Trigger” button.)

Here you can view and edit timeline of animations on a slide. Gives options for which durations, delays & triggers will affect animation display. Allows you to reorder the animation earlier or later.

Selection Pane-(Located in the Format menu)

Displays a list of all objects & makes it easier to change their order or visibility. “Bring Forward” brings a selected object forward one level, “Bring Backward” sends selected

object back one level. “Align” changes the placement of objects. “Rotate” flips the object.
