News and highlights
Grosseto, May 16th 2017 - Conceived for the hunting and shooting sports communities, for young enthusiasts of outdoor sports and for off-road and bike enthusiasts and families too, Game Fair aims to promote and protect the environment through a highly effective instrument called experientiality. As announced in the motto ‘experience-participate-compete’, visitors will be able to try their hand at a vast array of country canine, equestrian, shooting disciplines and much more, or even participate in numerous related events organised outside the fair areas, such as off-road and bike, new to this 2017 edition.
The 2017 edition has been organised by Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A., in collaboration with Grossetofiere S.p.A. and in partnership with C.N.C.N. (National Committee for Hunting and Nature), an organisation which aims to promote sustainable hunting in line with international parameters.

Off road vehicles will feel right at home at the event's rural location, with over 30 hectares of exhibition space immersed in the greenery of the Tuscan countryside. A special arena of approximately 10,000m2 has been built, with excavations and surface obstacles, the venue for numerous off road shows and working trials.

There has been a sharp increase in the number of biking enthusiasts in numerous disciplines. At Game Fair the bike world is open to everyone.
Experience. Easy and short bike rides around the fair's exhibition area; 35 km MTB (mountain bike) bike tour to the Montemassi Castle; Itaway assisted bike ride to the Medieval hamlet of Montepescali

Numerous shooting sports will be represented, along with some important innovations. Experience. Eleven shooting lines and for the first time ever, two additional lines for rifles. Plus
dedicated firing ranges and areas for: archery, knife throwing, compressed air, sling shot, soft air, the latter with its very own, enormous firing range-area.
Participate. Shows of ancient disciplines such as precision shooting with bow and arrow, sling shot, knife and axe throwing.
Compete. 16 to 18 year old youths will compete in ‘helice’ shooting events in a special area developed in collaboration with the Franchi brand. The Italian Soft Air Team Championship Finals, a trial of the Italian hunting archery championships and the Open Trophy of knife and axe throwing will also take place.
Dog enthusiasts will be delighted with the vast array of canine disciplines involving over 500 animals. Hunting dog enthusiasts will get the chance to admire the most beautiful animals during shows and dedicated gatherings for breeds including the Segugio Maremmano, Bracco italiano, all three Setter varieties (English, Gordon and Irish).

A large field area will be the venue for all the initiatives, also featuring a swimming pool for different activities including spectacular splash dog shows.

dog services and the best sector professionals who will participate in agility, sheep dog, splash disc dog, dance dog, obedience, mondioring demos.
Compete. National gatherings of major Italian and foreign breeds and competitions open to adults and children wishing to try their hand at showing their own dog, even just for fun.
More than any other discipline, horse riding is inspired by English tradition, while also constituting a profound expression of Maremma traditions, with its own Butteri. This year will also see spectacular exhibitions of the Aragona's, a group of young acrobats, vaulting activities, enfant prodige and some of the world's bravest artists.
Experience. Hack will be organised along routes throughout the Maremma landscapes, from the Fair to the Parco della Maremma, where riders can catch a glimpse of a fox and admire the local Maremma cows; saddle initiation for children
Participate. Western Dressage and Aragona vaulting demonstrations
Non-stop activities for youths and children inside and outside the Fair area, with numerous spaces and stimulating experiential opportunities so that visitors can truly immerse themselves in unique experiences. Saddle initiations, soft and compressed air shooting, archery, sling shot, MTB routes, just some of the unmissable opportunities available to younger visitors. And that's not all: orienteering and climbing lessons, canoe excursions along the Ombrone river and trekking in the Parco della Maremma and to the castles of Guidoriccio. A wonderful opportunity to turn the June 2nd into a mini-break immersed in the beauty of the Tuscan Maremma landscape.
