- At the desmond hotel in Albany, march 29-31st- Theme is Aloha to Service - Promo video - Edited by Ryan Yam- Cost is $298- Feb 22 is the deadline for priority - March 1 final registration - You can register before you pay- Mini Fundraisers

- EX: bite a lyme, bite a lime to raise money for lyme disease- Business casual and business formal clothing - Registration is open so you can get deposits now

Ms.Owens speaks:- Looks far away but it's not so don't procrastinate


- To get higher positions you need to be there (its crucial!!)- Start thinking now!!!

VI. District AwardsA. Key of Honor Deadlines - Jan 18, 2019

- The highest award that can be given out as a district- Given to adults who you think are outstanding for your club- To win the award you need to submit recommendations from

president and membersB. Mail Deadline - Feb 15, 2019

- Needs to be postmarked for that day C. Online Deadline - Feb 22, 2019

- Distinguished Key Clubber Award is due this day - You get points for it!

- Outlined in the booklet- Different website/portal than other awards- You get your name on the screen at LTC and a pin - Outstanding member/officer is very competitive

- need distinguished key clubber to apply for it- Distinguished key club member is different than key clubber ! - Confusing so if you have questions Mara is co-chair for the award

committee and Peter (district secretary) knows alot!- Contest awards aren't due until LTC date

- Graded by kiwanians at LTC- Talent competitions - Make sure to go !!

VII. Club Elections- Should be held January - February so newly elected officers can learn at

LTC conferences - Split the elections up over multiple days so that each meeting isn’t too

- You need to say a 5 minute speech, with any remaining time left for questions

Ms.Owens speaks:- Swing for the fences! There's nothing to be embarrassed about especially

since you're only in high school for only 4 years- You could never have enough years to earn every single position just

make it known that you’re shooting for higher postition - Ms.Owens is happy to talk to parents if anything - You get to go up to LTC a day early as LTC- Looks very good on college app
