Vacant PositionThe Anindilyakwa Land Council (ALC) is seeking a full-time Gallery Administrator to join our Art Centre Team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting in the day to day operational requirements of the Art Gallery, including:
o Providing Administration support to all Art Centre Staff.o SAM management and financial reporting to the Finance teamo Website stock maintenance and social media account management for the Art Centre and ALCo Marketing, merchandising and gallery display/exhibition managemento Purchasing supplies and inventory control for the Art Centreo Artwork quality control o Managing infrastructure and maintenance enquirieso Liaising with external stockists/ filling orders and managing consignmentso Processing online sales and packaging for dispatcho Customer service o Assisting in the organisation and execution of events including art exhibitionso Coordinating art and cultural activities at the Gallery, in conjunction with the Arts & Culture team and
communityo Assisting with development and operationalising art and cultural projects and programso Building strong relationships with stakeholders in each community to promote the Gallery and its activities
Selection Criteria:1. Proven high level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise, negotiate and consult
with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders2. Experience with computer programs including MS Word, Excel. Experience with operating system SAM or similar
is highly regarded.3. Highly developed time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to effectively manage
multiple projects including the organisation of events and functions.4. Demonstrated ability in community development and in a consultative role, engaging with community members
and stakeholders to collaborate ideas and concepts and the ability to then conceptualise those notions.5. Basic knowledge of Aboriginal culture and society together with an ability to communicate effectively with
Aboriginal people, along with a capacity to support Indigenous staff when required.6. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and a proven record of developing and maintaining effective
relationships across an organisation, with clients and other stakeholders. 7. Understanding of and commitment to the effective implementation of Workplace Health & Safety and Equal
Employment Opportunity practices.8. Possess a current NT Driver’s License or ability to obtain.9. Demonstrated experience or ability to become competent in various computer packages and programs for the
recording of Anindilyakwa Language and Culture.
