WORLD WAR I PROJECT Scholars will complete a group poster project on a country involved in World War I. The group will create a presentation with details about their assigned country. At least 50% of the work should be completed outside of school. Date due September 1, 2017. Sixty minutes of school computer research time will be provided.

STOCK MARKET PROJECT Scholars will complete a poster or slide show presentation on a company listed on a stock market. They will create a presentation with details about their selected corporation. Most of the work should be completed outside of school. Date due November 16, 2017. Thirty minutes of school computer research time will be provided.

WORLD WAR II PROJECT
Scholars will create a poem, skit, poster, presentation, speech about key elements from WWII. Presentations will be no longer than 5 mins. With groups no larger than 5 persons. Presentations must include the following with a value of 10 points each:

COLD WAR? Project
During the 20th century, many brave women & men gave their lives defending our country & protecting others. The Vietnam & Korean wars claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. Scholars will create a poem, skit, poster, or presentation, on the Vietnam & Korean wars. Oral presentations are optional & will be 5 mins. or less with groups of 4 persons or less. Due date Feb. 6. Projects must include the following with values indicated below:

AMERICAN CIVIL RIGHTS ERA PROJECT
Scholars will complete a research project on 3 leaders, plus 2 events, and 1 act/policy/law from the American Civil Rights period (list below). Scholars may work with one or two partners to create a poem, skit, poster, or presentation. Work must include original writing/drawing of students. Date due February 28, 2018. Sixty minutes of class computer research time will be provided. Project grade includes an oral presentation which is part of scoring the rubric below:
