HUI Showers Accolades on PTDF for Supply of InfrastructuresBy UMAR DANJUMA

The information and communication unit of HUI has commended the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, a Federal Government agency for the various infrastructures; it extended to the university which has resulted in efficient delivery and expansion of services within the citadel of learning.

This shower of praises was made by the Director of Information Communication Technology Unit, Dr. L.B Salam, recently in an interview with The Focus newspaper.

According to the director, the Petroleum Technology Development Fund body has provided deskstops, routers for the efficiency of the unit in comparison with the past. The PTDF provided the unit with inverter for use that even if there is no light for period of five days, the unit will have light to sustain its activities.

Speaking further, Dr. Salam said the PTDF has also provided the unit with transformer and generator for a stable power supply.

He gave a low down of how the poor electricity can result to short life span of the sensor.

While appraising the facilities provided at the I.C.T unit as well as other departments in the University, the amiable director said that the unit is more equipped than other departments in the university.

He explained that the quality and quantity of the equipment at the Unit has led to the extension to other departments in the University, while plans, according to him are made to extent sme to students hostels and as well improve issues concerning examination, students result broadsheet and payment of school fees.
