The parent weekly, invitations to meetings, information to field lessons, testing calendars, and rubrics for projects are just some of items that will make it easier to manage day to day events for our students. Our school is the type of campus that continuously monitors progress for successful homework assignments, projects and tests. You want you to be informed about upcoming deadlines and activities. Review these items with our students and request

February 15, 2013Academic Corner9th grade students are reading Romeo and Juliet.  All students have their own copy checked out from the library.  Students will have daily assignments to read acts and scenes for the next day. Quarter 3 novel and packet with project are due Friday, March 22. 

The ACT college readiness benchmark for 11th graders was on Tuesday, February 12th, and we are awaiting results.  This is a good opportunity for you to begin talking to your students about their exam, and what ACT score is necessary for their college of choice.  We will be registering juniors for the national ACT test on Wednesday, February 20th.  Please make sure your child is at school to register for this important test.

11th Grade students will have mandatory ACT preparation Saturdays as follows: February 16 from 8AM – 12PM; March 2 from 10AM – 12PM; March 23 from 11AM – 12:30PM; and April 6 from 11-12:30PM --- THE ACT EXAM IS ON APRIL 13 If you missed the parent session, please call Mrs. Soto or Mr. Errisuriz to schedule an appointment.____________________________________________________________________________________OPERATIONS CORNERPlease encourage friends/family to attend an information session in our library from 5:30 – 6:30 PM on:February 26, 28 or March 5, 19, 21, 26
