National Talent Search Exam 2019, National Means -Cum-Merit Scholarship Exam 2018-19 & Junior Science Talent Search Exam 2018-19.
Directorate of Education, Delhi shall hold:
(1) First Stage National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)-2019 which will be held on 04.11.2018 (Sunday) for the students presently studying in class X in Govt., Govt. Aided and Unaided recognized Pvt. schools including KVS,JNV,NDMC, etc. under the jurisdiction of Delhi. Only two Subjects (SAT & MAT) will be conducting in this Exam and 27% reservation for OBC as per norms of NCERT. The selected students will be nominated for the second stage National Talent Search Examination to be conducted by NCERT. Qualifying marks as per norms of NCERT.(40%for Gen. & OBC, 32%for SC,ST &PH)
(2) National Means —Cum- Merit Examination (NMMS)-2018-19 to be conducted on 16.12.18 (Sunday) for the students presently studying in Class-VW in Govt. /Govt. Aided and Local Body Schools (NDMC, MCD & Navodaya,). The selected students will be nominated to MHRD for disbursing scholarship. Qualifying marks as per norms of MHRD. .(40%for Gen. 32%for SC,ST &PH)

(4) JSTS-2018-19 which will be held on 20.01.2019 (Sunday) for the students presently studying in Class IX in Govt., Govt. Aided and unaided recognized Pvt. Schools including KVS, JNV, NDMC etc. under the jurisdiction of Delhi. The selected students will be given scholarship and certificate by the Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi. Minimum Qualifying marks are 40% in each subject.(G.K. and Science & Math)
Eligibility Criteria
1. NTSE The students who have secured 60% marks in class IX for General category & OBC, 55% marks for reserved Categories in the session 2017-18. No income limit is prescribed.
2. NMMS : The Students who have secured 55% marks in class VII for General category and 50% marks for the Reserved categories in the session 2017-18. The parental annual income from all sources should not exceed Rs.1, 50,000/- for all categories of students during 2018-19 and they will provided Income certificate from Employer (Certified Pay slip) or their area Tehsildar.
3. JSTS : The students who have secured 65% marks in class VIII in the session 2017-18. No income limit is prescribed.

As you are already aware that Science Branch, Directorate of Education, Delhi conducts the Scholarship Examinations for the students studying in the schools under the jurisdiction of GNCT of Delhi. The details of the exams are as below:
1. First Stage National Talent Search Exam. (NTSE)-2019 First Stage National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)-2019 which will be held on 04/11/2018
(Sunday) for the students presently studying in class X in Govt., Govt. Aided and Unaided recognized Pvt. schools including KVS,JNV,NDMC, etc. under the jurisdiction of Delhi. The selected students will be nominated for the second stage national talent search examination to be conducted by NCERT.
2. National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination NMMS (2018-19).National Means —Cum- Merit Examination (NMMS)-2018-19 to be conducted on 16.12.2018 (Sunday) for the students presently studying in Class-VIII in Govt. /Govt. Aided and Local Body Schools (NDMC, Navodaya Vidyalayas & Aided schools under the jurisdiction of Delhi). The selected students will be nominated to MHRD for disbursing scholarship.
3. Junior Science Talent Search Examination JSTS 2018-19 JSTS-2019 which will be held on 20.01.2019 (Sunday) for the students presently studying in Class IX in Govt., Govt. Aided and unaided recognized Pvt. Schools including KVS, JNV, NDMC etc. under the jurisdiction of Delhi. The selected students will be given scholarship and certificate by the Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
1. NTSE : The students who have secured 60% marks in class IX for general category & OBC, 55% marks for reserved Category in the session 2017-18. No income limit is Prescribed.
2. NMMS : The Students who have secured 55% marks in class VII for General category and 50% marks for the Reserved category in the session 2017-18. The parental(Husband & Wife) annual income from all sources should not exceed Rs.1, 50,000/- for all categories of students during 2017-18.
3. JSTS : The students who have secured 65% marks in class VIII in the session 2017-18. No income limit is Prescribed.

As you are already aware that Science Branch, Directorate of Education, Delhi conducts the above Scholarship Examinations. The further details of which are as below:
(a) NTSE 2019 - Stage 1st Examination will be held on 04.11.2018 for the students presently studying Class X. tinder this Scheme there is a provision of reservation(i) OBC - 27% (ii) SC Category — 15% (iii) ST Category -7.5%and (iv) Physically & Hearing Challenged candidates 1% each.
(b) National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2018-19 Examination will be held on 16.12.2018 for the students presently studying in Class VIII. Reservation as per MHRD / GO1 direction/instructions. In NMMS Examination, only Govt./Govt.Aided /NDMC /MCD School students are eligible.
(C) JSTS Examination 2018-19 will be held on 20.01.2019 for the students presently studying in Class —IX.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
Coding Plan Read instructions carefully before filling up the Application-cum-Admit Card
Important: Submit Performa-A in Duplicate (2 copies -1 original & 1 readable Xerox),
1. Use only Blue or Black — Ball Point Pen. WRITE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. Do not mark or write outside the boxes.
2. Leave one box blank between two words. Limit your name and address within the space provided for it. Please see
example given below.
3. Cross (X) only one of the appropriate boxes in item no. 4,5,6,7 and 11. For Serial No. 6 & 7 attachment of requisite
certificate is essential.
4. Incomplete or defective applications-cum-admit cards will be rejected.
5. Submit Performa-'A' in two copies, exact photocopy. And third copy for acknowledgement.
6. Students can not scratch/alter/change the answer once marked on OMR Sheet, by using white fluid/ eraser/
blade/tearing/wearing or in any other form.
7. Students have to retain Question Booklet after exam.
8. Students must reach the examination centre at least half an hour before the commencement of the examination and
occupy the seat that bears his/her Roll Number, it is also advised to visit the exam centre one day before the
examination.
9. DO NOT use the calculator, mathematical table, cell phone or any other kind of ready beckoner in the examination
hall.
10. Question paper will have TWO PARTS: Part-1: Mental Ability Test (MAT) consisting of
90 Multiple choice questions, Part-2: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) consisting of 90 Multiple choice questions from
eight subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, History, Geography, Civics & Economics)
11. Time for Part-1 is 90 minutes and for Part-2 is also 90 minutes.
12. Each question carries 1 (one) mark.
13. Record your answer using the blue/ black ball pen. You have to indicate your answer on the OMR Sheet by darkening
the circle (() on the serial number of the correct alternative.
14. During the examination follow the instructions of the invigilator strictly.
15. Hand over your OMR Sheet duly filled on both sides AND ADMIT CARD along with caste and disability certificate to
the invigilator before you leave the examination hall.
16. Write your Name, Roll Number, Category and School as given in the Application-cum-Admit Card on the OMR Sheet
as per example given below and on the cover page of the Question Booklet in the space provided as per example
given below.
17. Certificates of SC/ST/PH/VC/Low vision/Low Hearing/Orthopedic/Blind must attach relevant certificate issued by
competent authority against which the benefit is being claimed otherwise candidate will be treated as general
category without certificate and no weightage will be granted to the participant candidate having
SC/ST/PH/VC/Low vision/Low Hearing/Orthopedic/Blind certificate after declaration of the result accordingly they
will be treated under general category. 18. The Exam Incharge should ensure that students fill in correct information in all, specifically in Caste/ Disability
Columns.
Note:-In case of caste and disability the Exam Incharge is directed to collect the relevant certificates.
