Follies is the progressive, rhythmic folk creation of Bloomington-based solo artist,Kate Siefker. Self recorded, mixed, produced, and illustrated, Follies creates a uni-que one-on-one experience with her listeners through layers of intricate percus-sive textures and harmonies. Siefker has worked in collaboration with many Bloo-mington artists, including her previous work with local freak-folk group, an argot.She co-wrote and self-produced the bands recent album Prima Materia, but isnow focusing on producing her first album as an individual artist.

Laura Carrascosa is currently combining her Philosophy studies (UCM) with an Artistic Photographydegree (Arte10). As a young girl she was delighted by her fathers photomontages, and the enchant-ment provided by her family albums.Soon, she managed to get an SLR camera of her own: a modest Pentax k100D, with which she wor-ked with until the age of eighteen. Messing around with its buttons, reading books and attendingsome courses, Laura learnt to handle the camera well and now owns a vast assortment, from aZeiss Ikon Coffee can (1934), the plain Praktica MTL (1983), until the Pentax K5 (2010), amongothers.
