RC/E series mobile containers can be used universally for numerous products. Our customers can decide between a metal platform or alternatively a robust plastic platform.

The containers can be collapsed and folded together easily to save space for empty transport or space-saving storage.

The mesh size of the panels can be optionally adapted for any application to ensure completely secure delivery to the customer.

Individual solutionsfor special tasks

This mobile container was designed for use on a cruise ship. As there was only limited storage space available, it had to be possible to nest the containers together to save space. All-round film covers protect luggage against dirt and dust. A central brake, which is operated via a foot lever, secures the container against rolling away when the floor moves, both when stowed and when loading and unloading.

The side panels are divided into two and can be swivelled in the front area. They can also be folded outwards for easier loading and unloading.

Mobile container for transporting

assembly materials

A customer needed special mobile containers for transporting carpet panels and the assembly materials required for them. These had to guarantee transport between the production locations without any damage. Wanzl designed a mobile container on the basis of the RC/S9 for transportation using a forklift and with numerous compartments for holding the materials. There are two doors each on the front and rear for optimum loading and unloading of up to 250 kg.

Mobile container for transporting textiles

This modified RC/S9 mobile container was developed by Wanzl for a customer for transporting semi-finished textile products between individual production locations. The RC/S9 container was equipped with a special rod construction for holding textiles. The complete equipment with film covers offers all-round protection of the goods against dirt and dust.

03 Tugger trains

Individual transport to workplaces or transfer locations requires a great deal of manpower and is cost-intensive. The recognition of this fact has eventually led to individual transportation with industrial trucks increasingly giving way to tugger trains or milk run systems in the logistics sector. The concept of the tugger train is also increasingly gaining approval in the storage and distribution logistics sector, particularly

when long distances have to be covered with loaded or unloaded trolleys. For example, the distance from the order picking zone to the packing zone or directly to the dispatch area or a defined supply area. Wanzl is also contributing to this important trend with its design of specially equipped mobile containers and order picking trolleys. Certain mobile containers and order picking trolleys can now be configured with drawbar and coupling systems for efficient transport.
