Mischa began writing music in her late teenage years, always inuenced by her musically inclined friends. Whether it was freestyling to hip-hop instrumentals or listening to tunes from all realms, she has always found inspiration in various musical genres that allow her to showcase numerous elements into her music. With several projects currently out including her debut EP, “LIKE, WHOA”, she continues to nd ways to captivate her listeners and draw them in with an emotional connection of empowerment.

MMischa introduced her music to the public in late 2017 with her debut single, ‘You have to want it.’ This was the launch of her music being heard on all major streaming platforms. The next step for her was an out of the box collaboration with electronic music producer/artist Rapzkallion on the song ‘Serene Estate’, released in 2018. It was her rst time using both her rapping and singing skills on an electronic track to switch up the hip-hop vibe and dress it with a distinct sound in order to display her ability to be versatile. HerHer 2019 catalogue includes her single ‘Check’, which takes on a feel good melody reecting on empowerment and celebration, her debut EP, ‘LIKE, WHOA’, 5 tracks in which she takes the listeners to a more lyrical and emotional side of herself, allowing them to relate to her life and channel her inner Queen like mentality. She ended 2019 with a collaboration by producer Quest and hip-hop native, Hevve on a track called ‘Flee Normality’, where they pay tribute to local creative Flee Normality and underlie the impoimportance of living a life you set out for yourself where you can break away from the norm and be who you are intended to be. 2020 holds some amazing collaborations for Mischa as well as quite a few solo projects on the way. She intends to dive into an even deeper side of herself and continue that engagement with her fans. Her most recent releases include her captivating new single, "Set it Off", an empowering anthem for all to vibe to and “Dreamlander’s Anthem” a collaboration with some of Ottawa’s nest hihip-hop artists and creatives.

Mischa made a big splash in the performance aspect of her career in 2017, by performing during Canadian Music Week in Toronto at Supermarket Restaurant and Bar with a Hip-hop/R&B showcase. The following year, she made another Toronto performance at Adelaide Hall, opening up for electronic artist Dubloadz. Her 2019 performances were nothing short of entertaining. She played numerous venues in Ottawa with some highlights including her ‘LIKE, WHOA’ EP release party in AugustAugust and Cranium Festival in November. She continues to regularly perform in Ontario and has kicked off 2020 with her Subzero Winterfest performance in Kitchener-Waterloo, “Fighting Fire with Fire”, a fundraising benet for the wildres in Australia that she held at Overow Brewery in Ottawa, ON. You can nd her performing at Ottawa’s RBC Bluesfest the summer of 2020, alongside acts such as, Rage Against the Machine, Marshmello, Lil Tecca, 6lack and Boyz II Men.

The dedication never stops. Mischa continues to take leaps in her career as a Hip-hop artist in order to achieve her next set of goals. You can hear her music regularly played over several University radio shows on CHUO 89.1FM. She is played throughout North America in the city’s clubs, bars and stores. Mischa has been named in the Top 50 Ottawa Rappers by Cap City Hip-hop, she was nominated for FACES Magazine’s Hip-hop artist, album and song of the year, as well as being named a nalist for thethe Capital Music Awards, presented by the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition, as Entertainer of the Year. Mischa continues indulging herself in the business aspect by networking, marketing and booking shows to platform her true talents. She remains hard at work taking on new challenges and accomplishing her aspirations in order to do what she truly wants to do in life: Inspire people all over the world with her music.
