ProposalThe Town of St. Albans is seeking Requests for Proposal from qualified janitorial services to pro-vide cleaning services for Town Hall. The RFP should include a quote for the cost of cleaning a 2 floor building with 3 multi-gender bathrooms, 1 large multi-function room, 1 kitchenette along with several offic-es and common areas. Cleaning of all areas will be accomplished at least twice per week dur-ing non-business hours. The bid will include the cost of cleaning tools and supplies and will include per roll costs for paper product replace-ment. The Town is also requesting bidders pro-vide a per square foot, all inclusive cost for pe-riodic carpet cleaning. A mandatory meeting and walk through for poten-tial bidders will be held on April 25th at 2pm. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to ne-gotiate with a qualified source. This Request for Proposal in no way obli-gates the Town to award a contract. The Vermont Public Service Board is seeking a highly qualified attorney with extensive experience in administrative law, utility law and regulation, and environmental law to serve as General Counsel. The Public Service Board is a quasi-judicial board that supervises the rates, quality of service, and overall financial management of Vermont’s public utilities: cable television, electric, gas, telecommunications, water and large wastewater companies. This is a unique chance to support the Public Service Board as it hears and rules on utility cases that have significant financial and public policy implications.
An applicant must have a J.D. from a recognized law school, admission to the practice with at least 8 years professional experience domonstrating relevant proficiency at increasing level of complexity and responsibility, and must demonstrate the ability to assimilate and understand a large volume of highly technical information, including legal principles and accounting, financial and engineering data. The applicant should also possess the ability to write clearly on complicated subjects, conduct himself/herself in a judicial manner, manage complex utility litigation in a quasi-judicial hearing process, supervise other attorneys, provide legal advice to Board officials on issues involving substantial public policy concerns or substantial financial impact, and develop, implement, and execute litigation strategies in state and federal forums on complex regulatory matters.
Salary in accordance with the State of Vermont’s Attorney Pay Plan for General Counsel I. The pay plan can be found athttp://humanresources.vermont.gov/benefits/compensation/exempt_appointed_officers/pay_plan.
