The  homepage  gallery  is  the  first  impression  you  give  your  audience  about  your  school  and  your  website.    It  will  also  demonstrate  to  your  audience  that  you  are  updating  your  site  regularly  if  you  change  the  photos  often.    This  is  easily  done  in  your  sponsor-­‐ed  website.    This  guide  is  for  Theme  5a  &  5b.  

 

1. Go  to  MEDIA  –  Home  Gallery  5  –  click  on  “Edit  Gallery”

   2.  To  add  to  your  gallery  –  click  BROWSE  next  to  Upload  Image  at  the  bottom  of  your  

page.    

 

3. Browse  your  computer  for  the  first  image  you  wish  to  upload.  Select  your  image  and  open  it.    

NOTE:    Landscape  oriented  photos  work  best.      Recommended  Dimensions:  1920  x  839  pixels.  

       

4. You  will  see  a  loading  message  while  you  wait  for  your  image  to  upload.

5. Once  your  image  has  loaded  there  will  be  a  cropping  frame  around  it  –  move  this  cropping  frame  to  the  portion  of  the  photo  you  wish  to  display  and  click  on  Crop  Image.  

 

6. Your  image  is  now  cropped.    You  can  add  a  title  and  description  to  your  image  and  this  will  display  as  your  gallery  scrolls.    You  can  either  UPDATE  your  page  if  you  are  finished  or  BROWSE  for  the  next  image.

7. Visit  your  site  to  see  your  gallery.

GALLERY  EXTRAS  

You  can  even  hyperlink  to  a  specific  page  on  your  site  or  to  an  external  site!  

1. MEDIA  –  Homepage  Gallery  –  Edit  Gallery  

2. If  you  would  like  to  link  to  a  specific  page  or  another  webpage,  simply  type  or  copy  and  paste  the  URL  into  the  ON  CLICK  LINK  field.  

 

To  change  the  order  that  your  images  appear  in  your  photo  gallery  –  you  can  use  the  sequence  box  in  your  CMS.    Order  the  gallery  then  click  on  SAVE.
