1. Open the hood and remove the eight (8) push pins retainingthe radiator support cover by pushing in on the center of thepins until they click. Lift straight up to remove the cover andpush pins (save for reinstallation).

2. To remove the stock grille, you must first remove the topfour (4) push pins. Lift up on the center of the push pin,then lift the push pins from the top of the factory grille.

4. Apply protective tape around the grille opening to protect thepainted bumper cover. Lift up on the grille and work some ofthe tape underneath the grille section.

3. Use a 3/16 drill bit to remove the two plastic rivets retain-ing the outer edges of the grille to the bumper cover (oneeach side).

10. Peel off the double faced tape backing, align the factoryemblem onto the emblem mounting ring, making surethat the emblem is level (not mounted on an angle) andpress the emblem firmly into place to set the tape.

7. Remove (fold over and break off) the factory mountingtabs from the back of the grille emblem

9. Install the emblem mounting ring onto the mesh grilleby centering it (as close as possible) in the mesh sectionand install the supplied black backing ring using thesupplied #8-32 hex nuts and tighten.

5. Press down on the lower mounting tabs that protrudefrom the back of the grille and push the grille forward toremove the grille from the vehicle.

6. Once the grille is removed, apply masking tape to the fac-tory Buick emblem to protect the chrome finish. Removethe factory emblem from the O.E. grille by pryingbetween the grille and the three (3) mounting tabs on theback of the emblem and push the emblem out.

8. Install the supplied double faced tape to the back of thefactory emblem (as shown).

11. Push the top of the grille into place and check the align-ment of the left and right mounting plates with the fac-tory push pins holes.12. If the plates do not line up, loosen the machine screwsand slide the mounting plates into proper position.

13. With the grille properly aligned (pressed firmly againstthe bumper cover), Use a pencil to mark the location ofthe frame onto the tape protecting the paint on thebumper cover.

IMPORTANT: For vehicles painted colors other than black:Remove the grille and trim or apply additional tape 1/4 insidethe pencil marks made in the previous step for the followingpaint procedure.

14. Use a scotch brite pad to scuff the paint on the bumpercover inside the masking tape. Paint this section of thebumper cover with semi-gloss or flat black paint. Paintanything inside the grille opening that is not black toconceal it from being visible through the mesh grille.

15. Before permanently installing the upper grille, bend thecenters of all four (4) lower mounting brackets up asshown (front edge of the tab is bent up approx. thethickness of the metal). Insert a small flat blade screw-driver into the small slot located near the rear edge ofthe bracket and push down. This will allow the lower

mounting brackets to snap into the factory slots in thebumper cover.

16. Align the grille and push the lower mounting bracketsthrough the slots in the bumper cover until they snapinto place.17. Once the grille is installed, remove the protective maskingtape. Carefully peel back the masking tape from aroundthe mesh grille. Peel the tape back over itself to minimize

tape breakage. Pulling down on the bumper coverunderneath the mesh grille will help increase the gap,making it easier to remove the tape.

18. Align the upper corner of the grille frame so that it isflush with the upper corner of the painted bumper cover.19. Once properly aligned, use a 7/64 drill bit to drillthrough the hole in the mounting plate (where shown)and through the thick plastic upper grille support.
