Thank you for purchasing a T-Rex Grille. 12/11/08 Fig 2 Step 2 Take the mesh grille and insert it into the opening in the factory grille shell. Push the sides in firmly to seat the mesh grille. (Fig 1) Fig 1 Fig 3 Step 4 From the backside of the grille, install a L bracket on the threaded J hook along with a 6/32 nylon lock nut. The L bracket will latch over the the inner lip of the factory grille shell. (Fig 4) Tighten the 6/32 lock nut with a 8mm socket and ratchet. Repeat this process on all 8 of the threaded J hooks. Installation is now complete. Fig 4 Step 3 Use the threaded J hooks to secure the mesh grille to the factory grille. They will be installed in the outer edge of the mesh grille along the top and bottom edges as indicated in (Fig 2). Take a threaded J hook and insert the threaded end through the mesh with the hook end latched to the mesh grille. There are several plastic pop clips that you can pry up with a flathead screwdriver. Set the radiator top cover to the side. Remove the factory GMC logo. There are clips on the backside of the logo that hold it onto the factory grille.
