“PAWSOX EXPRESS” Saturday, July 7, 4:30pm departure
FEE: $40 adults. $35 students under 16
Hop aboard our PawSox Express to enjoy a
6:15pm ball game between the Pawtucket
Red Sox and the Yankees’ farm team, the
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders.
Families, adults and seniors are all welcome
to join us for this group ou�ng offered by
Barrington Community School, the Barrington
Recrea�on Department and the BAY Team!
The bus will depart at 4:30pm, giving you �me
to par�cipate in pre-game ac�vi�es. Return
will be a7er the fireworks display which fol-
lows the game.
Fee includes special features, school bus
transporta�on and trip escort.
Note: While we do not receive any reduc�ons
from the Red Sox for children, we have
elected to offer reduced rates for this age
group.
Sea�ng is assigned in the order in which regis-
tra�on and payments are received.
LINDEN PLACE TOUR - Bristol, RI
Tuesday, July 10th Leave 1:15pm, Return 3:45pm Fee: $8 due at @me of sign up
Tours last about one hour and include the
gardens and outbuildings. Highlights include
tales of DeWolf family exploits, from their
privateering and slave trading to their
financial ruin and triumphant return to
prosperity during Victorian �mes. Learn about
family members Pomeroy Colt, his mother
Theodora DeWolf Colt and the great actress
Ethel Barrymore who married in to this most
prominent of American families.
At tour’s end, visitors are welcome to stroll
sculpture-filled gardens where they will find
Greek bronzes and an 18th Century gazebo.
**HELP WANTED** Part-@me Outreach Coordinator
The Barrington Peck Center for Adult Enrich-
ment is seeking a Part-�me (3-5 hours per
week) Outreach Coordinator. Candidates must
be comfortable with the elderly, friendly and
have reliable transporta�on. Du�es include
installing emergency dialers in eligible
resident’s homes, tes�ng the baBeries, and
record keeping. Must be able to li7 up to 30
pounds if necessary. Interested candidates
should submit an applica�on or resume

Visi�ng Nurse Home & Hospice will be at the Center in
July to do glucose and cholesterol screenings. This visit
will be in lieu of the blood pressure screening.
2ND STORY THEATRE — “HAND OF GOD”
Sunday, July 22th at 5:15 pm Our special Center cost is only $20 (Theater cost is $30)
In this wacky comedy – one-part Sesame Street and two-
parts Exorcist – three semi-troubled teens work through
their “issues” at a Chris�an Puppet Ministry workshop.

“CELEBRATE AMERICA” Featuring The Classics Five Jazz Quintet
This Jazz Quintet play music from the American songbook
with jazz improvisa�on, light rock, show tunes, do-wop,
a bit of country, and movie themes, and consists of
Al Testa, Band Leader on trumpet and flugelhorn;
Carine Davis, vocalist; James Seaberry, jazz guitar;
Mike Verrecchia, electric/upright bass; and Paul
GruBadaria, drums/vocals.
If you would like to join us for lunch before the concert,
please call or stop by the Center to reserve your spot.
There is a $3 suggested dona�on for lunch.
GOVERNOR HENRY LIPPITT HOUSE TOUR Providence, RI

Heir to one of Rhode Island’s leading tex�le manufactur-
ing families, Henry LippiB (1818-1891) designed and
supervised the construc�on in 1865 of a house at 199
Hope Street in Providence for his wife Mary Ann Balch
(1823-1889) and their six children. Occupied by four
genera�ons of the LippiB family for 114 years, the house
is a three story, thirty room Renaissance Revival villa
with Italian palazzo elements. Embellished with elaborate
faux finishes, colorful stained glass windows, ornate
woodwork details, and surviving original furnishings, the
house is also significant for its pioneering hea�ng and
plumbing systems.
Designated a Na�onal Historic Landmark in 1976,
LippiB House has one of the best preserved Victorian
interiors in America, allowing visitors to step into
Providence’s Golden Age.
