for community infrastructure

under the Integrated Planning Act 1997

A Ministerial designation has been made

I, the Hon Chris Cummins MP, Minister for Emergency Services, give notice that under the Integrated Planning Act 1997, chapter 2, part 6, I made a Ministerial designation of land for community infrastructure on 30 June 2005.

Description of the land to which the designation applies

The Ministerial designation applies to land for the construction of the Emu Park Ambulance Service 87 Hartley Street, Emu Park.

The land is described as Lot 36 on Plan E15610 Parish of Hewittville, County of Livingstone.

Type of community infrastructure for which the land has been designated

The land has been designated for the Emu Park Ambulance Station with on site parking.

This community infrastructure is described under the Integrated Planning Act 1997, schedule 5 as—

(g) emergency services facilities.

Matters included as part of the designation under the Integrated Planning Act 1997, section

2.6.4

The designation for community infrastructure is made subject to the following requirements— Nil.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LIQUORLICENCE AND EXTENDED HOURS PERMIT

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO SELL LAND FORARREARS OF RATES

A. The Council of the City of Gold Coast (“Council”) hasdecided to sell the land described in the schedule belowbecause overdue rates and charges have remained unpaid fora period in excess of three (3) years.

B. On 24 March 2005 Council held a meeting under Section1040 of the Local Government Act 1993 and resolved asfollows:

1. That Council implement action under Division 3 of Part7 of the Local Government Act 1993 (Reprint 9C) [Saleof Land for Overdue Rates] for property described in theschedule below;


2. That a reserve price equal to the minimum allowableunder the Local Government Act 1993 (Reprint 9C) beset; and

3. That the matter be referred to Council’s Solicitors toaction on Council’s behalf.

C Notices of Intention to Sell Land were executed by Council on22 and 29 April 2005. In accordance with the LocalGovernment Act 1993 the notices were forwarded to theregistered owners listed in the schedule below by registeredmail to the persons’ last known address for service of ratesnotices.

D. The registered owners listed in the schedule below are herebyput on notice of Council’s intention to sell land.

E. Interest before 1 July, 1994 was calculated at the rate of 14%simple commencing the financial year after the rates wereraised. After this date, the method of calculation wasamended to commence from the date after the due date forpayment at the rate of 11% per annum compounding daily.

F. Legal costs have been incurred in the issuance of this notice.Interest and legal costs will continue to accrue until such timeas the land is sold or payment made.

G. Particulars of the relevant provisions of law may be obtained,free of charge, on application to Gold Coast City Council.
