Born to Ride (10 nights / 5 parcs / 1745 miles)
Countryside and coastal holiday parcs await you on this epic ride that will take you through some of France’s most stunning scenery and open roads.
Day one (Destination: Camping Le Château des Marais, 285 miles, 4 hours 45 minutes)After leaving Calais head straight towards Paris following the A1, then South via the A10, towards Orlèans and along the river Loire to your destination near the riverside town of Chambord. Lunch can be taken in or around Paris giving you time to scan your map over a croque monsieur in one of the world’s most famous cities.
Day two (at your leisure)Take time to ride around the ‘Garden of France’, famous for its many impressive châteaux, wild flowers, rolling countryside and world famous vineyards. The majestic Châteaux de Chambord, set in a 52 km² wooded park and game reserve, is only minutes from your parc. The pretty town of Chambord is well worth a visit too.
Day three (Destination: St. Avit Loisirs, 280 miles, 4 hours 45 minutes)Continuing your journey South you’ll follow the A20 through the vineyards of The Loire and into the truly inspiring Dordogne, with its rich, fertile plains, towering limestone cliffs and impressive rivers. Lunch can be taken en-route in the medieval city of Limoges before your journey onwards to your parc near Le Bugue.
Day four (at your leisure)Explore the rolling hills and unspoilt countryside of the Dordogne. You could choose a day out exploring the river and gorges by canoe, a visit to the medieval town of Sarlat (with its colourful markets and cobbled streets) or the Castle at Beynac-et- Cazenac which is perched on a sheer cliff.
Day five (Destination: Criques de Porteils, 270 miles, 4 hours 15 minutes)Journeying south for the last time on this trip, take the A61 towards the Languedoc region. Then connect with the E15 into the Roussillon region and your final destination close to the lovely coastal town of Collioure.

Day six and seven (at your leisure)Time to kick back and enjoy the beach and sun. Nearby Collioure is a delight, with its quiet cobbled back streets, sheltered beaches, tapas restaurants and arts & craft shops. A ride out across the border to Spain is easily done with a visit to the Salvador Dali museum, in Figueres, an experience to remember.
Day eight (Destination: L’Ardéchois 300 miles 4 hours)On the road again. This time heading North East along the A9 towards Nîmes. Continuing the journey follow the N106 towards the Ardèche region. Lunch could be taken near the Montpellier coast to get one last look at the Mediterranean before heading back inland and travelling North towards Vallon-Pont-d’Arc.
Day nine (at your leisure)The Ardèche gorge is stunning, with towering limestone cliffs and hidden caves. The best way to see it is by canoe and half day trips, beneath the Pont d’Arc, can be taken for the best views.
Day ten (Destination: Le Domaine de l’Eperviere, 200 miles, 3 hours 45 minutes) Northwards bound once more. Taking the E15 towards Lyon and your overnight destination close to Gigny-sur-Saône. Only 16kn from the main Autoroute and set in the grounds of a 16th century château, this attractive parc is ideal for an overnight stop.
Day eleven (Destination: Calais, 410 miles, 6 hours 15 minutes)The last leg of your epic tour of France takes you further North, around Dijon and Reims, before sweeping westwards and on to your final destination of Calais for your return back to Blighty.
