Reference Glossary
Followings are the special/technical terms used in the description/specification of this product.
Term Description
HDMIHDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) enables transmission of high definition video and multi-channel audio
through a single cable.
ANSIANSI (American National Standards Institute) may mean the institute itself or the standard developed by the institute.
In exact term, the brightness unit of projectors is ANSI Lumen, which is abbreviated as ANSI in this document.
XGA XGA class supports maximum definition of 1024*768 pixels.
Kensingtonlock
A kind of thief-protecting device. On the rear side of notebook computer or monitor, there may be a hole, indicated with the letter K, which enables to lock the device by inserting a cable. The letter K stands for the Kensington, USA, who invented this device.
S-VIDEOA method of input and output of video signals, whose color difference signals (chrominance, Cr/Cb) and the brightness signals (Y) are separately transmitted. Refined and higher resolution rate than composite type can be implemented.
RS-232c
The standard for connecting a computer with monitor and other peripheral devices. This is a physical specification for
the serial communication lines used for connecting terminals for data communication.
Though it is usually called RS-232C because it is a recommended standard (RS), its formal name is EIA-232-C, as it is developed by EIA (Electronic Institute of America).
This standard supports serial data communication at 20K baud rate or under, within 15m.
