Macy’s is a US-based department store retailer that operates the mid-tier Macy’s banner as well as the much smaller but more upscale Bloomingdale’s chain and its associated outlets. The retailer also has a rapidly growing online presence through Macys.com and Bloomingdales.com.

Macy’s currently operates more than 840 stores across 45 states in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam. In 2010, it made its first foray abroad, opening a licensed Bloomingdale’s store in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
